Description

One bedroom apartment located in a family house in Supetar, in quiet and unique location 100 meters from sea coast and nearest beach - Vla?ica..
This charming apartment has one bedroom with two single beds, a fully equipped kitchen, living room (with additional sleeping facilities), satellite TV, air conditioning, shower, terrace with garden furniture and WiFi-internet connection.
Summer evenings in Supetar are lively: children run around the square, grown-ups exchange news on the waterfront, tourists select their spot for an evening meal and swifts scream overhead. The stone buildings turn pink in the setting sun, and the feeling is a very relaxed one. The town beaches offer a range of facilities for sport and leisure, there are nightly folklore performances in town during the tourist season, there's a summer carnival and a film festival: in short, enough to keep almost everyone occupied.

The town beaches offer a range of facilities for sport and leisure, there are nightly folklore performances in town during the tourist season, there's a summer carnival and a film festival: in short, enough to keep almost everyone occupied.

On the shore to the west of the town centre there are shingle beaches backed by cafés, bars, fast food eateries and nightclubs, as well as sports grounds and play areas. With the island's main bus station to hand, Supetar is also a good base from which to explore the rest of the island.

The focal point of the town is a waterfront lined with cafés, bars and restaurants. A large space in front of the church and clock tower serves as the main square. At the entrance to the church museum is a statue of St Victor and by the church courtyard of Mother Teresa, both the work of Bra? sculptor Petar Jakši?. The church interior is richly decorated with paintings, sculptures. A reliquary of St Victor is paraded through the streets every May 2. To one side of the church the former rectory now serves as the church museum.

Location description from owner

The Dalmatia region

Bra? is a great rocky lump basking in the channel between Split and Hvar. It's fringed with paradise beaches in white pebble and sand, and covered in pine, olive and other Mediterranean trees and shrubs. Wandering through the pine forests, olive groves and scrub, you come across remnants of civilisations reaching back to prehistory. In the hospitable island taverns, you feast on vegetables grown in the hard-won but fertile soil and lamb reared on wild herbs alone, washed down with home-made red wine, the distilled essence of the sun. The island's spine offers spectacular views of the mainland and neighbouring isles, and you breathe in the smell of wild herbs crushed underfoot.
Bra? is for you if you cherish the rough together with the smooth: the texture of stone, the rocky terrain; the temperament of a people raised on back-breaking toil but unable to live without good humour and company; the bitter tang of a good olive oil, the aroma of sheep's cheese and the warm tannins of a home-made wine. That's not to say you can't enjoy the creature comforts of civilisation, but to get the most out of your stay we recommend you try to leave those as far behind you as possible.

Supetar

Supetar is the main tourist resort and transportation center of the Island of Brac. As it is located on the northwest coast of the island, it is well connected with the mainland town of Split by ferry boats and also with other villages of the island by daily bus lines.

Supetar is a typical Dalmatian town, distinguished by a pictorial promenade with numerous fish boats and palm trees giving its center a characteristic Mediterranean charm. Beside bays with a fine pebble beaches, surrounded by tamarisk and pine woods, Supetar offers everything that a city can offer: cafes, bars, beach bars, numerous restaurants, dance terraces, disco club, tennis courts, surfing and diving school etc. You can enjoy its cultural monuments, various sports and recreation programs. There are lots of restaurants where you can taste local, Mediterranean cuisine as well as some other Croatian specialties. Despite the tourist open-mindedness of Supetar you can always find a quiet place where you can have a nice conversation over a glass of wine or just peacefully sit and enjoy the surroundings. A well-known Dalmatian hospitality is present on each corner.

Supetar is also scenic Mediterranean town with harmonious architecture, interesting history and remarkable monuments worth visiting:

The parish church with monumental stairs built in 1733, extended in 1887. Inside the church you can find the paintings of a local baroque painter Feliks Tironi and the baroque Pala of an unknown Venetian painter from 18th century
In the cemetery there are several tombstones worth seeing, work of the sculptor Ivan Rendic from Supetar
The Mausoleum of the family Petrinovic with portraits and sculptures by Croatian artist Toma Rosandic

Supetar offers various recreational opportunities for everybody: swimming pools, organized boat trips, tennis courts, mini golf, fitness club, diving school, sailing, water skiing, fishing, bike rental, scooter rental, boat rental, kayak rental, pedal boat rental, table tennis, water polo, beach volley, mini golf…
