Description

Welcome to our fully refurbished one bedroom ground floor apartment in the popular Golden View Condos in Sunset Crest, St James on the world famous Platinum Coast of Barbados.

The apartment was fully refurbished in September 2014 (redecorated in August 2020) and now includes a luxury bathroom, brand new kitchen worktop & appliances, and a new air con unit (coin operated) in the bedroom. The apartment has been furnished in a modern and luxurious style.

The spacious (750 sq ft) apartment consists of an open plan living and dining room, a separate fully fitted kitchen, a separate bedroom with king size bed, a walk in wardrobe (with key operated safe), and a luxury bathroom with walk in shower. All rooms have ceiling fans and there is also air con (coin operated - $1 BDS per hour) in the bedroom. Outside there is a private covered 17ft terrace furnished with two Adirondack chairs and a fully cushioned love seat. As we benefit from being on the ground floor, the terrace leads directly out onto the beautiful tropical gardens with its covered tables and chairs, and the 25m swimming pool where you'll find plenty of free sun loungers. As there are no stairs/steps to negotiate our apartment is suitable for wheelchair users and/or those with limited mobility.

Apartment facilities include bed linen, bath towels, beach towels & mats, hairdryer, cable TV, DVD player, Bluetooth speaker, secure WiFi in the actual apartment, fully equipped kitchen with new appliances/crockery/utensils etc, iron/ironing board, free local telephone calls. Maid service/change of bed linen/towels etc, is provided once per week, however, additional visits are available on request for a small fee. Please note this is a strictly NO SMOKING apartment.

Our rental rates are inclusive of the $5.00 Barbados Dollar (per night) Room Rate Levy recently imposed by the Barbados Government.

Getting around

Car hire is not necessary due to the excellent location of our apartment. If you do decide to rent a car, there is free onsite car parking at Golden View. There is a very good public bus service where $1USD will take you wherever you want to go on the island, an abundance of taxis are available in Holetown, and there's even a free shuttle bus from the new Massey Stores shopping complex to/from Golden View.

Throughout the booking process and right up to the moment guests actually arrive on the island, I am available to answer any queries you may have about the apartment and the beautiful island of Barbados. As soon as you arrive in Barbados all guests will benefit from the services of our professional Property Manager who will be at your disposal 24 hours a day during your stay to deal with any queries, problems or emergencies you encounter while on the island.

GOLDEN VIEW CONDO REGULATIONS

There are a few rules that Management ask us to convey to guests:

• When walking in the corridors/communal areas all guests must be properly attired.

• Quiet hours (both inside apartments and in communal areas) are from 10 pm to 8 am.

• No glass containers or bottles are allowed around the pool area.

• The pool may be used between 5 am and 10 pm at your own risk as the pool is not supervised. CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.

“Amazing week at Golden View”

We have just arrived home after a fantastic week staying at Claire’s apartment in Golden View. We knew these apartments already so were familiar with how lovely the gardens and pool area are. We had not stayed at Claire’s before though. Her apartment is beautiful, spotlessly clean and very well equipped, and we loved it being ground floor so we could just nip out the gate into the gardens. The only tiny criticism is that we would have liked a table and chairs (2 person bistro set would’ve been ideal) on the outside terrace area so we could’ve had breakfast overlooking the gardens. That aside, the apartment is lovely, the bed was comfy and the bathroom is beautiful and the walk in wardrobe was great with plenty of storage. Claire was fabulous to deal with before our stay too, emails always answered promptly and thoroughly. We would not hesitate in recommending this apartment and we hope to return ourselves in the not too distant future, so Claire, we will be in touch!

We absolutely loved this place! Claire and Phil have a lovely apartment and you can tell have put a lot of love into the decoration and finishing touches! So many little details that really make all the difference. I have stayed in many places before where the kitchen is bare with crockery and cutlery but this place has everything you need. Pool area was never overcrowded, really decent size pool and well maintained pretty surrounding gardens. Very peaceful and relaxing. Location was fab- just a short walk to shops and bars and of course the beach. I recommend this for couples who want a really chilled stay as a lot of residents so bigger groups would be better booking elsewhere. We will definitely try and book this place again next time we visit. We loved it! Thank you!!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Claire (the owner) a message.

If Claire (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
