“Comfortable, Clean, and Convenient!”

Reviewed 14 Jan 2016

My partner and I found this gem last minute right before the end of the year holidays; it was a life saver for us as we had just moved to Oxford from US. The apartment had everything that one needs for a short stay and we really felt at home during the one month we were there. Tim was a fantastic host and super helpful in explaining the house features to us (he even helped carry up all of suitcases on move-in day!) My mom and my sister visited us for a week and the 4 of us had a comfortable stay. Initially there were some ladybugs that kept creeping in from the windows but the number declined as the days went by. The appliances and kitchenware is complete for a convenient living and the internet speed was very good. The flat is also very close to the Summertown shops and bus stop for quick trips to city center. Coming from San Francisco, we were pretty excited to find a flat that observed similar eco-friendly values to ours. All in all, a great home away from home.

“A home away from home”

The Ecoflat is in an excellent location with nearby public transport links into the city of Oxford but with the added benefit of parking on site giving flexibility to explore the area. The flat has all that you need for a comfortable stay with little extra touches such as oils, herbs etc. to make cooking for the family on holiday easy - though with choice of family friendly restaurants and numerous takeaways nearby you do not have to spend any time cooking! The owners have thought of everything from the fast broadband connection to the provision of cleaning products plus an unexpected but most enjoyable bottle of wine.

“Great location, clean, well-maintained flat in Summertown”

Reviewed 20 Feb 2015

Came to Oxford to visit family and found the Eco Flat to be perfect for our two-week stay. Clean and well-maintained, Tim was very helpful and available if we had questions. Quiet building in excellent location, just a block from Summertown shops and bus stops to City Centre. Loved that care was given to eco-friendly energy use and cleaning products.

“Very comfortable”

Reviewed 15 Jul 2014

This flat was very comfortable. It is near the bus line so it was very convenient. There is a pub a few minutes away that is called the Dew Drop Inn and had excellent food. Being welcomed to the flat with a bottle of wine, coffee and milk was very thoughtful. We are definitely looking forward to coming back to this flat next year.

“Light, airy and in super location”

Reviewed 14 Jul 2014

Our second stay at the Eco Flat. It is well equiped and has large windows making the rooms light & airy. Linen is crisp and beds are comfortable. We love being in Summertown which has everything we need in terms of shops without being crowded like central Oxford. 10 minutes on the bus and you are in the centre. We were visiting schools with young children and it was great to have a 'base' to retire to. The owner, Tim, is very pleasant and helpful. We hoped to come back again later in the year but the flat is booked already!

“Very well appointed.”

Reviewed 12 Jan 2014

I spent a comfortable three weeks here over Christmas. The flat is well equipped and the owner very pleasant and helpful.

“Comfortable, well equipped and good location”

Reviewed 27 Nov 2013

The flat was very comfortable, well equipped and with good quality furnishings, white goods and other fittings and a good level of maintenance. It is very well located with shops, restaurants and other facilities close by. The accommodation was ideal for myself and my wife plus our adult daughter. The wi-fi was good and reliable and was very useful for Given the congested nature of Oxford, the availability off-street parking with the flat was particularly useful for us. Despite the cold November weather the flat was warm and cosy.

“A Home away from home!!”

Reviewed 24 Nov 2013

Our family of four stayed at the Ecoflat for 6 days and found it the perfect place for our short visit to Oxford. The flat had everything we needed and Tim and Jo were very supportive and accommodating. They also provided lots of toys to entertain our boys. We also learnt some tips about energy saving and recycling. Summertown is also a great location with many shops where you can find everything you need, a variety of shops, lovely playgrounds for children and Barefoot Books where the family can have fun, learn and share a nice meal. The flat is on the second floor but our children enjoyed going up and down the stairs. A really nice exercise!!! We were glad we found the Ecoflat, a perfect home away from home!!!

“home from home, plus more!”

Reviewed 3 Nov 2013

absolutely faultless, the flat had everything one could possibly want, spotlessly clean, superb location- and I also came away more aware of energy saving possibilities

“Wonderful flat in good location”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2013

The flat is easily spacious enough for four people and is well furnished and supplied: it has everything you need, so you can start enjoying your holiday straightaway. Everything is eco-friendly, which is an additional plus. The flat is located near the heart of Summertown, close to a variety of shops and restaurants, and with easy bus connections in the city centre, while the flat itself is in a quiet street. It is a good base to explore Oxford and its surroundings. The landlords were very nice and helpful, and we did not have any problems. The flat is located on the second floor, and there is no lift; hence it is not recommended for older travellers or people with disabilities.
