The Cotswolds region

The Cotswolds is listed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and as such offers the visitor beautiful scenery contrasting woodland with rolling hills and picture book english villages. Oakridge Lynch is a small and friendly village on the south facing side of the golden valley. The village itself has an excellent pub run by a michelen award winning chef. There is also a shop with an extensive choice of local produce and gifts. The historic towns of Cheltenham, Bath, Tetbury and Oxford are all within easy driving distance. London is a 1.5 hour train journey away. The nearby town of Stroud has a farmers market every Saturday which has been voted the best in the country by BBC Food and Wine. Cirencester, only 6 miles away, offers high class boutique shopping, museums and restaurants. The area does not disappoint whatever the weather - there is always something to do - a village to visit, a walk to take in the stunning views, the local architecture to study, a produce of a farmers market to sample, a pub to enjoy a pint of locally produced beer, a tearoom to sit and enjoy afternoon tea, a book to read on the sunny terrace of the cottage. You will feel rested after your time in the Cotswolds and leave wanting to return again.

"Excellent cottage that was warm and cozy"

The cottage was well appointed with good facilities. We felt immediately comfortable and there was plenty of room for two people. There had obviously been a lot of effort put into making the cottage feel homely and well appointed. It was a little difficult at first to find an easier access out of the village but once that was discovered it was a good place for exploring local sights. Our thanks to Peter and Jayne for making us feel welcome.

"Lovely stay"

A wonderful cottage in a very quiet and peaceful area of the Cotswolds. Fully fitted and in a great position. Very kind, helpful and available owners. Definetely recommended.
