The Cotswolds region
The Cotswolds are well known for breathtaking rolling countryside, gentle hillsides ('...wolds') and sleepy 'typically English' villages. This region is an area popular with both the English themselves and all visitors.
Bell House provides an ideal base for visits throughout the region including the spa towns of Bath and Cheltenham, and historic Cirencester, Gloucester, Bristol, Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon....
Bath, a designated World Heritage Site, is one of Britain's most beautiful and historically significant cities; The Regency Spa town of Cheltenham is a significant venue for art/music/literature festivals; Gloucester's historic Cathedral featured in the films of J K Rowling's first Harry Potter books; Oxford is home to one of the most prestigious Universities in the World; visit Shakespeare's birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon...
Diverse shopping opportunities, from specialist boutiques & designer outlet, to world class antiques and chain stores.
Something for everyone...
The Cotswolds has many well known attractions but here are a few of the more unique experiences from just across the road up to within a 30 minute drive: local canal restoration, history in the making (www.cotswoldcanalsproject.org/brimscombe) ; take a trial flight in a glider, an adventurous way to take in the stunning local views; Bibury's Arlington Row, its origins dating from 1380, found in 'the most beautiful village in the Cotswolds' William Morris; the Severn Bore, a 'spectacular natural phenomena'; Hetty Pegler's Tump, part of the Cotswold's Neolithic history, and so much more..
It's a five minute drive (or a healthy walk up hill) up to the Commons with some of the most beautiful National Trust managed common land in the country, with outstanding and far reaching views over the Cotswolds, and towards the Severn Estuary and Wales beyond. Horses and cattle roam freely across the Commons, and the grassland slopes are home to rare butterfly and wildflower species including thirteen species of orchid. Minchinhampton Common has many interesting and important archaeological features, some dating from the Neolithic period.
The area is perfect for Walkers.

"Lovely apartments in a perfect location!"
These lovely apartments are clean, spacious, nicely decorated, and well equipped. They are perfectly located: about 2 minutes’ walk from the station, about 4 minutes’ walk to the town centre AND near a Waitrose! They are next to a pretty lock with a nice café. The apartments are perfect for a group of friends, but No. 4 is also great for a couple. The Stroud Brewery is about 30-40 minutes’ walk away along the river and is definitely worth a visit if you like beer and/or pizza – a very nice way to spend an afternoon! There is an excellent and quirky pub, The Prince Albert, about 20 minutes’ walk away – the walk is uphill but is more than worth it! The farmers’ market in Stroud on Saturdays is also worth a look!

"Spacious apartment in hub of Stroud"
We loved Jane's apartment in Stroud for a number of reasons. First, it is spacious. It is centrally located close to town but also all main roads enabling easy access to various parts of Cotswolds. Thirdly, it was very clean. It was well equipped with everything a tourist requires. Jane had outfitted it with lovely linens. Finally it had very god parking at the back door.

"Amazingly well equipped!"
A group of my family travelled to Stroud to stay at this property for my 30th birthday. The property is exactly as described but the kitchen, bathroom etc are superbly equipped - loads of glasses; tumblers, wine, champagne (you name it, they had it!) and all to a high standard. The care and thought that has gone into equipping this property made us feel very well looked after. The booking process was smooth - Jane was always available via email and this made the weekend run smoothly. We had an excellent weekend and would definitely recommend to others.

The location was perfect for us. We are a group of friends who try to get away once a tear for a long weekend so the location is not always important but it helps to be somewhere to wander round. I visited Stroud a coupe of months prior to our visit and loved it. The apartment is perfectly placed for the train station, town centre. There is a 20min walk to a large Tesco which is a nice stroll past parks. Everything you need is available in the apartment with milk, tea and coffee. The decor is very good and the bathroom superb. I also felt the bedding was lush, really good quality and fresh. Good information folder with restaurant guides and take away menu's, we did add a coupe ourselves. I shall be hopefully returning with my family next year if it's available.

"Beautiful, clean and comfortable accommodation."
We loved this apartment - great location within a short walking distance of shops and restaurants and lovely walks along the canal. The apartment was clean and furnished with comfortable and modern furniture. Loads of TV channels to choose from and Wifi. The beds were probably the most comfortable that we experienced in 8 weeks of travelling. Highly recommend.

"Perfect weekend accommodation"
We only spent one night here, as we were in town for a wedding. The apartment is super-comfortable and immaculately presented. It is very well located for quick access to Stroud town centre. My dealings with the owner were all extremely cordial and helpful. What I'm trying to say is that everything about this apartment is excellent, and if you're planning on staying in Stroud, you should stay here.
