It has 3 fabulous double bedrooms (double futons also in lounge) and has a fully fitted kitchen and dining area, spacious lounge, 1 double bedroom (with 4 poster) and 1 bathroom on the first floor. On the ground floor there are 2 double bedrooms (one double and one twin beds) and a bathroom, with large wet room shower. The property has full central heating but in the lounge is a fabulous wood burning stove and free wood is supplied for guests.
Outside is a seating area with BBQ and chimnea and incredible mountain views in the distance. The lodge is set in 47 acres of private farmland and gives access to many local walks and trails. DOGS and HORSES are welcome by arrangement. Car and boat parking areas available.

It's such a lovely cottage and lovely owners too! We've already booked another holiday this year to go back. The area is quite remote but then we wanted a remote highland holiday. The only downside is the ferry which is very expensive but the owner suggested we could buy a book of tickets, which will work out cheaper. Will try that this year.
Thank you for your positive review. Although the ferry cost can be quite expensive, there is a road route which takes about 40 minutes to Fort William. The scenery along the route is quite breathtaking and is a great alternative.

"Clean, warm and comfortable in a beautiful setting for walking, cycling and fishing!"
Melvyn and Sally Shaw were very helpful in ensuring that everything was ready and welcoming when we arrived. Only the two of us, so we lived entirely on the first floor with the most magnificent views out of the windows, with lovely fires in the wood burner to curl up by on 2 huge futons and a clean well organised living kitchen which was really easy to use. The bedroom too was lovely. Although it is joined on to the farm, the door to the Lodge is on the far side and it feels very private. At the same time it was lovely to be invited to wander around the farm and see the chickens, pigs, geese and calves in their enclosures. The children would have loved it. We found that there were only a couple of places to go for a meal in Strontian and that it was better to fit a meal into our day out if we were going in the car. We did take supplies with us and the fresh eggs from the chickens were wonderful. We could walk from the door or travel just a few miles in the car to other places- Glen Nevis. Glen Finnan,-so many places. It was a lovely walk on the path alongside the river down to the village -with shop, cafe and Tourist Information. Only 20 minutes or so and right on the edge of Loch Sunart and more lovely views. Next time we'll take more of the family as they were so impressed by our photos. We felt away from it all as you should in the Highlands but were so close to amenities in Strontian
Thank you both for your comments, we enjoyed meeting you during your stay. Hope the free-range pork and eggs travelled safely with you on your return to Yorkshire.
