Strokestown

Just over 2 hours from Dublin to Strokestown, a heritage town in the Irish midlands - home to Stokestown Park House and famine museum and St John's Genealogy centre. This is a popular angling centre for coarse and pike fishing being surrounded by 65 lakes within a 7 mile radius. This gorgeous stone faced house is located 4 miles from town in a spacious garden near Grange lake and harbour. Tastefully furnished throughout, all rooms are en suite, and have TV. It is an ideal touring base for central Ireland.
The Grange lake and harbour holds good stocks of bream, rudd and hybrids. This location boasts a variety of attractions from fishing to golf and horse riding, and nearby a children's playground and tennis court.
