"A wonderful place to stay if you are looking for quiet and relaxation."

During our time at the Old Rectory North we stayed at both the Rectory and Grooms Cottage. Between the two kitchens, two livingrooms, three bathrooms, and four bedrooms we had ample space for six people. The homes were clean, warm (winter month), and had provisionals in the kithchen and bath that eliminated extended shopping. We picked up a few items at the local grocery store within 10 min of the home. There are many pubs in the area that serve great comfort food but do call ahead to see what time they are seating and if they take reservations. Both homes were decorated for the holidays and champagne awaited our arrival. If considering a trip to London the train picks up within 10 min of the home and has free parking. Very close to highways if driving. Both Rosemary and her husband Peter made themselves available to all of our needs and were a wealth of information on the local area. Very easy booking system with the use of Paypal. It would be our wish to go back to the Old Rectory North and next time try the summer months.

"The whole stay was wonderful and we all thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful house and location."

We hired The Old Rectory and Grooms House for the day/night before my daughter's wedding for some guests and the bridesmaids to stay and get ready for the wedding. It was all so perfect. We had a most wonderful and beautiful stay the day/night before the wedding, the night after the wedding and part of the next day. It was enjoyed by everyone because the Old Rectory was so well equipped, everything was ready for our stay and nothing was too much trouble by Rosemary and Peter. The location was fantastic and the views stunning. What a building with so many bedrooms and little rooms for everyone to be able to relax in. I cannot say anything bad about The Old Rectory all just good words. Fantastic.

"A beautiful home away from home in rural England"

My wife, young son and parents in law had a wonderful 8 night stay at the Old Rectory. The service from Peter and Rosemary was excellent, all comforts were provided and nothing was left out. They were very friendly and helpful to us with plenty of tips on where to go and how to enjoy ourselves. On arrival we found that they had even left us a package of goodies including fresh eggs, milk, strawberries and wine The location of the house was perfect - very near to several picturesque towns, villages and local pubs. Since it was also not far from the M5, it was an easy drive from Heathrow Airport. During our stay we made several excursions not only around Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, but also further afield to Stratford on Avon, Wales, Somerset and Devon. Each was an easy day trip. The house itself is a hidden gem, more than 500 years old but the rooms are well laid out, well furnished and comfortable. The setting is perfect. The house stands alone, far from other houses. It is very peaceful, with a view down to the Avon and beyond from the two patios. My son and I caught several interesting fish in the river including pike, bream, perch and an eel. The rest of the family really enjoyed relaxing in the house and also sitting outside on the patio and enjoying the view. Our family would definitely recommend the Old Rectory as a very special place to stay.

"Secluded property with character in the countryside. A great place to relax, or use as a base to explore."

This was our second trip to the Old Rectory and thankfully nothing had changed. Rosemary and Peter are still extremely professional yet amenable and are readily available when required, but never intrusive. We like the location as it's secluded and right in the countryside, yet some major towns and amenities are very short car rides away. Also, most of my family are within 2 hours, so they can come and visit us, rather than us spending our precious vacation in the car doing the rounds. The property has lots to offer during periods of good and bad weather, even for my 4 year old son. With plenty of character the house is a good place to just hang around, or entertain, and genuinely holds 6 very comfortably and without feeling on top of each other. We lucked out finding this spot originally but now we've found a good location with the right features it will figure in all our trips back to the UK in future.

"English country living the way it should be..."

Have you ever had a dream of a perfect holiday that actually came true? Well, the Old Rectory North was that experience for me and my family. From the oooh's and ahhhh's whilst looking at the website to arriving to find it just the way it said it would be, we had a lovely time.
