“A perfect place to stay for all the family”

Reviewed 9 May 2013

We had a wonderful, long weekend away at Oaks Barn Farm. The accommodation was impressive - clean, comfortable and beautifully presented throughout. The farm is situated in a lovely part of the country. It is a great place to stay for a relaxing break and also as a base for exploring the local areas. The whole family enjoyed their stay, especially our granddaughters who were particularly delighted with the animals.

Thank you for your review of your Farm Stay with us, every review we get helps better inform guests of what they get when staying with us. We hope to see you again soon, best wishes Wayne & Sue

“Ideal break”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2011

Upon arrival our first impression was that the accommodation exceeded our expectations, nice location, well furnished & comfortable. We were met by the owners Sue & Wayne, plus Bobby & Jimmy (dogs) who gave us a warm welcome. Over our stay, Bobby & Jimmy spent a lot of time with us & our border collie Moss, they all got on really well & enjoyed the extra attention from us. As a would be farmer, I was really pleased to be invited to assist with worming, dagging, and paring the sheep - not everyone's idea of a holiday activity, but I really enjoyed it, and our boys assisted too. The sheep had only finished lambing just before our arrival, it was nice to the lambs with a spring in their step. We visited some of the local attractions, including Warwick Castle which was really good (no dogs allowed). There is a local fishing lake (walking distance) which suited our elder son who is keen on carp fishing - he managed to catch some nice carp so was really pleased. There is a fishing tackle/bait shop in Alcester on the industrial estate. On the Sunday of our stay, we went to a grass track racing event on nearby farm, racing was fast & competitive. We also visited Ragley Hall, which was really good, the house was fascinating, loads of space, and dogs welcome (not in the house). Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely return.
