“Perfect place to stay and explore Stratford upon Avon”

Reviewed 4 Jan 2017

This perfect flat for 2 with parking - a boon - is located within walking distance of the centre of Stratford - we didn't need to use the car once during our 4 day stay over the New Year. The flat is warm and welcoming and there are some lovely touches - a comfortable bed with inviting linen, big, soft towels and lots of them and a welcoming bottle of wine in the fridge. We really enjoyed our stay in Stratford - a variety of super restaurants - Vintners, Lambs, Foxleys, Wildwood Kitchen and Carluccio's for gorgeous eggs florentine - places to visit and the wonderful theatre. We highly recommend the town walk as a good start to your visit. This is a real find and we will be recommending it and likely return for the theatre and the food.

“Comfy, Cosy, and Convenient”

Reviewed 30 Oct 2016

The flat is really comfortable and in a great location. The garage is handy so put your car away and forget it since you are only a few minutes walk from the town and its attractions, two larger supermarkets a few minutes walk in the other direction, along with the station, if you fancy a trip further afield. One note about the garage it is a bit of a tight squeeze so don't bring the Bentley.

“Disappointed by things beyond the control of the owner !!”

Reviewed 1 Oct 2016

Stayed here for 3 nights for the purpose of going to the RSC. Location is an easy 10 minute walk to the town centre and theatres. Plenty of places to eat and drink but would advise booking a table for meals, particularly pre-theatre as it can be busy. The apartment was very clean with an interesting collection of furniture and decoration. Bottle of wine chilled in the fridge and tea/coffee etc in the cupboard was a nice touch. Comfy bed and Freeview TV in the lounge. Garage is a real bonus as most on-street parking in Stratford is restricted or expensive and wardens are plentiful !! You have been warned. Our main disappointment was the structure of the building which is very echoey meaning that you can hear the doors and activity of other residents. Most irritating was the neighbour above doing some serious DIY - constant drilling/sanding etc. It's a good job we were out and about for much of the time - it would have been intolerable to have stayed in during the day. Lots of activity around the building from 07:00 am so don't plan on having a lie-in !! The latter points were the only downside to our visit but I guess not much the owner can do - shame really. We probably wouldn't stay here again but wouldn't refrain from recommending it for all the other reasons mentioned earlier.

“A delightful apartment and great alternative to a hotel!”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2014

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner who was only too pleased to help us to get bags from the car, recommend restaurants and cafes, and provide great service. Although we were first spectacle by the lack of reviews on this property, it really is a home from home and shouldn't be discounted because of its lack of previous reviews! It's a small apartment, but perfect for a couple or solo traveller. Its 5 minutes from the town on foot and we found ourselves walking to and from restaurants. Many of the hotels in Stratford are too far away for that! Upon arrival essentials such as milk, coffee, sugar, snacks and a bottle of wine were already chilling in the fridge which made for a great touch! The apartment has a real sense of character created by the items of furniture and small touches. Our only issue was that a few dirty feet marks were in the bath, and it had a scum mark around the edge! But nothing we couldn't solve with a quick scrub. This definitely was the one and only problem we found. Everything else was absolutely wonderful and it didn't ruin our stay!

“Perfect alternative to a b&b”

Reviewed 10 Aug 2014

This is such a beautiful flat and it is set up so well - everything you need for a few days or even a longer stay. It is very conveniently situated for Stratford town centre. The owners were an absolute pleasure to deal with and very kindly left us a good selection of essentials (tea coffee etc) and a few treats! We hope to stay again in the future. There are some lovely b&bs and hotels in Stratford, but if you want more of a base where you can cook, relax and pretend you live in this beautiful town, this is perfect. Would make a great honeymoon venue too.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your very kind comments; we look forward to seeing you again soon. Kind Regards Justin
