“Peace and Tranquility where history and the future meet”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2016

We were warmly welcomed by Peter and Caroline to their impeccably refurbished historic cottage overlooking the tidal turbine (spent hours just watching the water race past) at the entrance to Strangford Lough. Perfectly situated just 5 minutes stroll from the active heart of Strangford the cottage has a delightful rural feel and was a relaxing home from home. Very friendly neighbors helped make for a memorable and restful stay. The generous off road parking was appreciated and meant we had no qualms leaving the car all day. The ferry crossing to Portaferry is a must do (more than once). Peter's complimentary Wheaten Loaf was very moreish - we just wish we had more time available to have experience more of the Cuan's cooking.
