“Lovely house”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2017

We stayed at this lovely house for three nights and I would happily go back again. The house was clean and very spacious with everything you need for a self catering holiday. The views from every window are stunning and the house is in a good location for traveling to Inveraray, Oban and many other beautiful places. This house is very good for children as it has a games room. The owners were very helpful and quick to respond when contacted. I would highly recommend this house for a family holiday.

Great to hear that you would return. Also thank you for pointing out that the house is very good for children.

“Family Holiday”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2016

Lovely home, stunning scenery. The house is very well stocked with appliances, 2 fridges and freezers are ideal for a large family, bedrooms are spacious and sitting areas are very nice and relaxing, the upstairs lounge has a wonderful view over the loch. If I have one small complaint I found it strange that there was no clothes drying facilities available, a whirlygig or drier would have made all the difference.

So pleased to hear that you enjoyed Ardfyne and the scenery. With regard to drying facilities, we do provide a clothes line, pegs and a clothes horse so that guests can make use of the 2 covered deck areas that guarantee dry clothes in the sea breezes even when it rains. It is not unknown for whirlygigs to get blown away.

“Amazing holiday house”

Reviewed 16 Jun 2016

Just returned from an amazing three days celebrating my husband's 60th birthday, with all the family. Nine in total, ages ranged from 84 to 21 years old. The house is wonderful, the three upstairs bedrooms very spacious and the balcony/ upstair's sitting area perfect. The kitchen is so well equipped, made making meals so easy. The gas barbecue was a lovely surprise and we managed to eat al fresco on our first evening. We had a lovely meal out at Creggan's Inn on Saturday following our walk to Puck's Glen, beautiful. Sunday was Castle Lachlan and dinner at home. The huge fridge freezers are an extra bonus when catering for large parties. The large dining table was excellent. Played lots of board games and didn't even have time to watch any dvds. The weather was okay but very little wind and as we are in Argyll citronella candles came in very handy! There is also a rib starting doing boat trips from the pontoon. Thank you, we had an amazing time, the house has the wow feeling.

Thank you for your lovely review. It is great to hear that Ardfyne is being enjoyed by guests of all ages.

“Nice time in a nice house in a nice area”

Reviewed 17 Aug 2014

We spent 6 days with 8 persons (4 adults, 4 children). The house was very comfortable for us 2 families. The 3 bedrooms in the first floor were great, the one in the groundfloor (bed and bathroom) average. The Location, about 100m away from Loch Fyne, is very nice (near Loch Lomond, a lot of other Lochs around, a nice view on the see and on hills and mountains). There were a lot of prospectus available in the house with which you could plan your daily trips. The house is well equipped (e.g. two fridges, a big toaster, an electric kettle). Especially the gas barbecue is brilliant.

So pleased to hear that you really enjoyed your visit to Scotland and enjoyed the house and area. Was also interested to hear that you managed to see a lot of the surrounding area. Ardfyne is certainly in a very good location for exploring the west coast and beyond.

“Superb Holiday Home”

Reviewed 24 Feb 2014

We booked a long weekend at the house located a short distance from the shore of Loch Fyne. On arrival we were greeted by friendly owners and shown the property which is in a perfect location with stunning views of the loch and surrounding hills. The property inside was large and very modern with everything needed to enjoy our holiday. The first floor balcony was our personal favourite for views of the surrounding areas.

Delighted to hear that you had a great weekend and enjoyed a relaxing break. Many thanks for your very positive feedback. Our favourite is also the balcony - great for views in all weathers.

“House to be proud of”

Reviewed 22 Oct 2013

Had a great time at Ardfyne, was good entertainment for all, age ranging from 16-79yrs. Lovely gardens and amazing views, only a 10min walk to local shop walking along the Loch. Even in the rain you could stand out on the covered decking area. Spent many a night round the large dining table playing cards. Easy acces to Dunoon & Inveraray. Would definately recommend.

Delighted to hear that you had a great time at Ardfyne even though the weather was a bit mixed. The deck areas do allow you to sit out and enjoy the ever-changing views. Also good to hear that the large oak dining room table was enjoyed by everyone in the evening. Hopefully see you all next year.

“A great house in a great setting.”

Reviewed 7 Oct 2013

Grandparents, parents and 3 young children all had a fantastic holiday. The house was very comfortable with lots of room for the children to play and relaxing space for the adults. We loved eating in the dining room with its scenic views and also the landing room and balcony - it was a joy to watch the ever changing weather patterns especially with a glass of wine in the evening! The children enjoyed the garden and the walks to the jetty for exploring.the loch shore and deer watching in the evening. We were all able to explore the are - running, walking, sightseeing - a very beautiful area.

Great to hear that you enjoyed all the space that Ardfyne has to offer. The house certainly has spectacular views of Loch Fyne. Being new to the rental market this summer it is very satisfying to be getting really positive reviews. Many thanks.

the property was absolutely beautiful furnished to a very high standard. The views were breathtaking and the village lovely. We had all age ranges of children and they all loved it.

Delighted to hear that you and your family really enjoyed Ardfyne. You were our first guests at the house as it was just new to the rental market. Thank you once again for leaving the house so beautifully clean and tidy. Would be wonderful to have you and your lovely family visit again. You could then go and explore the large number of islands lying off the west coast. I know that you were interested in seeing more of the stunning west coast scenery.
