“Don't want to go home”

Reviewed 9 Aug 2017

The is the best place we have been on our holiday. The owners are the most helpful persons we have met. The cottage is clean and wel equipped. Canterbury, Folkestone and other places are within a half hour driving so you can visit the city's during the day and enjoy the quiet surrounding at Shaws Farm in the evening. We will come back for a second stay.

Owner's reply: Thank you for booking your stay with Shaws Farm Cottage, we really enjoyed meeting you and loved to hear your daughter playing in the garden. Thank you for the home made card, which is delightful and the biscuits.

“Peace & quiet with a view”

Reviewed 23 Jul 2017

Located close in Stowting in the Kent Downs "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" and close to Canterbury, the Shaws Farm Cottage is a great place to stay if you want to have peace and quiet but a city nearby. The cottage has such amazing views from the living that we were tempted just to stay there all the time. The cottage itself is comfortable and provides everything you need for a nice, self catering holiday. It is well furnished and very clean! My wife and I stayed there for 6 days with a 3 year old and our 6 months old baby. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Kent.

Owner's reply: We really enjoyed meeting you and your family, the weather was so kind if not a little too hot. We wish you all the best and thank you for your comments

“Great cottage and excellent hosts”

Reviewed 27 Jun 2016

If you value a real quality place to stay then Shaws Farm is for you. The cottage is really well appointed with everything you will need for a relaxed stay. Those extra touches such as a welcome pack and flowers on arrival make you feel at home from day one.

Owner's reply: Really lovely to meet you both. Thanks for your nice comments, hope you enjoy the rest of your U K trip

“A real Kentish gem, peace comfort and tranquility with wonderful hosts.”

Reviewed 27 May 2012

Shaws Farm Cottage well deserves it's 4 star rating. Modern, beautifully presented stylish accommodation in glorious countryside within easy reach of East Kent highlights .( See owners web site). You are spoilt for choice. We have just returned but have visited several times in May, June and Sept. On a sheep farm and private from owners adjoining farmhouse, we found the cottage to be extremely well equiped with spacious well furnished rooms flooded with light. A real home from home feel with views over the pastures. The added little extras make this self catering cottage a real discovery. Lazy days on the beach at Hythe one of our favourite spots together with wonderful fresh fish a real treat. We really enjoyed visiting old haunts as my family and I originate from Kent and returning each day to the comforts of the cottage ensure a perfect break at any time of year. Once discovered it's hard to stay away and so easy to forget you have to go home ! Thank you Susan and Ray for your warm welcome and for sharing this not so little gem, we wish it was our secret !
