The towns magnificent church is one of many to be found in the surrounding villages all of which benefited from the generous donations of rich wool traders.

“Cosy Cottage”

Reviewed 16 Sep 2016

Wonderful, friendly and helpful host. Cottage comfortable and cosy with everything we needed and more. Bed linen and towels supplied. Irons, ironing boards, washing machine and dryer and vacuum cleaners available on site. An additional, thoughtful touch was the supply of a small loaf, a tasty cake, pint of milk and some cheese with fresh flowers on arrival. TV, Radio and Wi Fi also available, along with fridge with ice box, electric hob and oven and microwave. The whole area was peaceful and beautiful. We have a dog and there were plenty of walks on the doorstep, the only request was that dogs didn't go into bedrooms or on the furniture, otherwise things were fairly relaxed, but common sense dictates that you consider your fellow guests in relation to the dog, e.g., barking etc. We had a relaxing and comfortable break at Chaff Cottage and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. If we are ever that way again we would definitely stay here.
