A quintessential 18th century 2 bedroom stone built cottage right in the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold, one of the most picturesque towns in The Cotswolds. Standing across the road from the oldest inn in England and just a short stroll to numerous tea shops, restaurants, pubs, shops, take-aways and antique shops, Serendipity is an excellent base for exploring Stow on the Wold and for a break in the Cotswolds. Delightful and characterful beamed living room with exposed stone wall, sofa, chairs, colour TV/ DVD player with DVDs, books and games. Free wifi broadband. Large kitchen / dining room with oak table and 4 chairs. Equipped with everything you need for 4 people, along with a washing machine, micro-wave, kettle and toaster.Large landing with exposed stone wall provides access to both bedrooms, the bathroom and the second toilet room.

Bedroom 1 is a very pretty room with beamed wall and ceiling along with a comfortable king-sized (5 ft) bed, large mirror, dressing table and built-in wardrobe.

Bedroom 2 is also a double room with double bed, dressing table, 2 large mirrors and built-in wardrobe.

The main bathroom contains a bath with over-bath shower, basin and toilet.

The second cloakroom contains a toilet with hand basin.

Outside, the south facing courtyard garden is equipped with a table and 4 chairs, making it an ideal place to relax in the sun, enjoy a cold drink or dine alfresco on a warm summer's morning, lunchtime or evening.

Included in the price is electricity, central heating, towels and bedding. In addition, local biscuits or cake are provided and tea cups are ready setup for you to make a quick cuppa on your arrival.

Despite Serendipity being a characterful and pretty 18th century cottage, it does NOT have any low beams or ceilings and the stairs are normal width with a handrail.

On-street parking (recessed parking bays) is available immediately outside the cottage. This is both free and unrestricted, on a 'first come, first served' basis. Free, unrestricted parking extends down the hill on both sides of the road. Additional parking is also available in the streets behind the cottage or in 2 public car parks close by.

Why can't I call Pat and Claire (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Pat and Claire (the owner) a message.

If Pat and Claire (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
