“Haven of relaxation”

Reviewed 22 Feb 2018

We wanted a relaxing few days away and staying in this cottage that's exactly what we got. The cottage was an ideal base from which to explore the Cotswolds. From the minute we opened the door it was like a home from home. Everything we needed was provided and was clean, comfortable and cosy. The welcome sight of milk and biscuits meant we could relax immediately with a cuppa. This beautiful cottage is in an ideal location for local food and beverage options too. I would highly recommend a stay here and hopefully I shall return to stay again.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for such a kind review. I am glad you found the cottage so welcoming and that you enjoyed the local area. We look forward to you returning. Pat and Claire

“Serendipity”

Good 3 day stay in Serendipity along with the snow it was magical Stow. Nice comfy cottage well placed for the pubs and restaurants. Especially enjoy the Butchers.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your kind review. I envy you seeing Stow in the snow.

“Lovely comfortable cottage”

Reviewed 16 Nov 2017

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Serendipity Cottage which is a lovely little cottage on the main street in Stow-on-the Wold. It was quiet and the beds were the most comfortable we have slept in. There are lots of good places to eat and drink within a few yards of the front door, especially Hive across the road with friendly staff and great food, we had the breakfast which was very good. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the Cotswolds.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your kind review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Stow. We are visiting ourselves tomorrow and will certainly try Hive. Pat and Claire

“Fab cottage”

Reviewed 21 Oct 2017

Great cottage with everything you need for a home from home experience! Clean and tidy and all well decorated. Lovely garden with table chairs which we enjoyed breakfast in the sunshine. The location is superb for exploring all the nearby pubs and restaurants just a 2 minute stroll from the door. Must also recommend a visit to Osteria on the wold a small Italian restaurant in a hidden courtyard I am sure you won't be disappointed. I will certainly be returning to the area and indeed serendipity cottage. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for such a good review - it does help! We will try the restaurant you recommend when we visit ourselves at the end of November. Thank you. Pat and Claire

“Fantastic Stay”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2017

Had a great stay at Serendipity Cottage in the middle of July. Right in the middle of Stow so didnt need to venture far for a restaurant or a pub. We actually stayed over the weekend of the Royal International Air Tattoo (only 20 minute drive away). We would have struggled to get a room at a travellodge for the same price during the same weekend so great value also.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your kind words. We look forward to welcoming you back one day. Pat and Claire

“Lovely cottage in a Great location”

Reviewed 28 Nov 2016

Serendipity is in a fantastic location and is a lovely holiday cottage. Had everything we needed as a young family and lots of amenities in the town, all within a few minutes walk, we would definitely return. Beautiful part of the country and a great base to explore the surrounding countryside including the Slaughters, Bourton-on-the-water, Cheltenham etc.......

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for those kind words. We look forward to you coming back to Stow. Pat and Claire

“A perfect short break in an immaculate cosy cottage!”

Reviewed 4 Feb 2016

This cottage is ideally situated for a visit to Stow on the Wold with shops, pubs and restaurants all within easy walking distance. Parking for us was straightforward and the cottage itself was well equipped and immaculate. We're looking forward to a return visit!

Owner's reply: Thank you for your kind comments - we look forward to you coming back. Pat and Claire

“Lovely Stay for new year”

Reviewed 25 Jan 2016

Great location and wonderful facilities central to Stow. The accommodation is well equipped with all the necessities required for a self catering stay. Parking is a challenge, but not an issue after 5pm. My only recommendation is for their to be a welcome pack of things to do or don'ts really, luckily we knew the area quite well of where to go including walks and places to eat. Would definitely return, the place was great, warm and full of character.

Owner's reply: Thank you for choosing Serendipity to stay and thank you for your feedback. A more detailed welcome pack is now available in the Cottage. We hope to see you there again soon Claire & Pat
