Location description from manager

The Cotswolds region

Stow-on-the-Wold

Location

Stow-on-the-Wold is the quintessential Cotswold town! Located on the edge of the Cotswold hills and approximately half way between Broadway and Burford it is generally regarded as the areas premier destination. It retains much of the traditional appeal of the region with many period buildings built using the classic mellow Cotswold stone, all surrounded by the world famous Cotswold's countryside.

Sitting at the hub of the Cotswolds, Stow is a natural meeting place and steeped in history. The Royalist is probably the country's oldest inn, dating back to 947AD whilst Charles stayed at the Kings Arms before the battle of Naseby. Stow is full off quirky alleyways and corridors which are crammed with plenty of shops, cafes/bistros.

“Lovely cottage in the heart of the Cotswolds”

Reviewed 18 Nov 2012

Fabulous and comfortable cottage in Stow on the Wold, just a stone's throw from the town centre and all its shops, restaurants and pubs. The owner made us so welcome. We travelled as 3 couples and liked the fact that there were 3 bathrooms and plenty of room to sit back and relax in the evening. Would highly recommend.
