The England region

Our reviews will tell of the friendly nature of this area. Many dog walkers pass the gates on the way to the canal and often stop to say hello. Just 3 minutes away from Wollaston village with its pubs and takeaway restaurants it is tucked away and right on the edge of the lovely countryside and the bluebell wood, New Wood.

Great location, great owners, very friendly. Stables was romantic for two people, cosy with fireplace & Victorian bed. Strongly recomend staying in the Barn aswell (as we got the chance to stay in both the barn and stables) especially if you've got family and friends near by as there's plenty of room to entertain people & a cool jukebox. Beautiful gardens and close to canal walks.

Lovely to meet you both. Bit early but hope you have a great Christmas and maybe see you again next year.

“Peaceful Little Haven”

Lovely place to stay - clean, comfortable, well equipped and nicely presented. Linda and Mick were very friendly and helpful. My elderly parents with limited mobility were staying for a few days whilst their bathroom was being refitted at home locally and so it was ideal for them.

Helen it was a pleasure to meet you all. Hope they are pleased with their new bathroom. Thank you again for the flowers and wine. Meg loved having you stay too...she kept going back to check if you had come back.

Wonderful accommodation and welcoming hosts. Definitely in our top ten of cottages visited. Great value for money. Lots to do in the immediate area. Very comfortable bed and we'll equipped.

It was lovely to meet you both, great weather for sitting in the garden too. So glad that you enjoyed your stay here in Stourton.

“Excellent value in a good location”

Our weeks holiday at The Stable was a very pleasant experience. The owners Mick and Linda gave us a great welcome and even invited us out to their favorite pub for an evening of laughter and friendship. Our privacy was respected and we felt very relaxed. An ideal location for a couple to explore the area.

Thanks so much for giving us a review. We enjoyed meeting you both and we are glad that we helped in making your visit to our area memorable.

“Home from home.”

We stayed in the Stable for nearly 8 weeks as we waited for a completion date on our new house. It was extremely warm and comfortable and had everything we needed. Wifi was an added bonus, as was the secure parking behind the electric gates and our friendly companion - Meg the dog. Mick and Linda, the owners, were great too, allowing us access to a washing machine every week and even putting a washing line up for us! We couldn't have asked for more. A lovely place and lovely people who we will stay in touch with.

“Most beautiful Place we've Seen during touring in the UK”

Reviewed 16 Mar 2014

'The Barn' is really great. It is a peaceful, comfortable place with the best landlady and landlord I've had yet, and I am touring around the whole UK so I've Seen plenty cottages. It's really worth it to stay there and having a good time. They even have a juke box. I think I want to spend my next holiday there, too.

“If you want to feel like home on vacation, you have to go The Stable.”

I had a really great time here, very nice Cottage with all the comforts you need, beautiful landscape and overall the lovliest landlords I have ever met in Britain. If you go on holiday in the Black Country you have to go there!
