“Absolute home from home experience provided by a lovely couple.”

Reviewed 12 Apr 2016

The property was in excellent order throughout, well equipped and it felt like a real home from arrival to departure. Ken & Isobel have thought of absolutely everything and it is so clear the great pride they take in the service provided. They are proud of "their" Island and take a lot of care in ensuring their visitors get all the information and advice possible to get the very best out of their time on Lewis & Harris. Thanks again for a super holiday, the complimentary welcome pack and the excellent bottle of red wine too!

Thanks for reviewing the cottage and we do appreciate your comments. We enjoyed meeting up with you and your family and look forward to welcoming you again if you decide to return to the Outer Hebrides again.

“A Hebridean Home away from Home”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2015

An Airigh is a perfect cottage to explore the wilds of the Outer Hebrides whilst also being very close to the main town of Stornoway. Situated in a quiet cul de sac, about 20 minutes walk from the centre of Stornoway, this cottage was stocked with everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable. Ken and Isobel's hospitality is fantastic, from a welcoming bottle of wine to superb tips on what to see around the island. Because we have dogs we only really holiday in cottages around Great Britain and this cottage was definitely one of the best we have stayed in. If you would prefer a slightly more remote location Ken and Isobel also own the Shiant View cottage in Orinsay which we also stayed at while visiting the islands. This cottage is situated in a truly stunning location and once again is fully stocked with all the amenities and utensils you would ever need. The only drawback was we had to come home.

Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure having you at both our cottages and glad that you enjoyed your time with us.

“Paradise”

Reviewed 13 May 2015

An Airigh was an excellent cottage. Absolutely every need was considered and catered for. Lewis and Harris are paradise on earth. I would recommend Cameron's Fish and Chips in Stornoway, the An Lanntair Arts Centre, Luskentyre, the Black House Village, the Iron Age House (magnificent beach too), the Butt of Lewis, Dun Carloway Broch, Calanais, Tunga, Tulsta, Bostadh, Unig, Leverburgh, Tursa and everything in between. The islands have left an indelible mark on me and, if I could, I would never have returned home.

It was great to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. This encourages us to continue providing the best services to all our guests. We look forward to welcoming you back.

“Excellent Accommodation - Everything we required and more”

Reviewed 11 May 2015

We had a wonderful stay at An Airigh. the owners could not have been any more accommodating and helped us with all our queries, offering advice and tips. The house was beautiful and very well furbished. Everything we needed and more was supplied and all very good quality. We look forward to welcoming you back to An Airigh in the future.
