Description

Little Barn Loft is the upstairs apartment of a detached cottage situated within our attractive gardens, near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire. Tucked away in a quiet private road, Little Barn Cottage comprises Little Barn (ground floor apartment - see listing 85854) and Little Barn Loft, each with separate entrances. Little Barn Loft sleeps up to 4 guests.

The large entrance hall leads to the stylish self-contained accommodation that includes one double and one twin bedroom (each with en-suite bathrooms), an open-plan kitchen and sitting/dining room. We provide free wi-fi, a television, DVD player, microwave, dishwasher, oven and hob, fridge-freezer, washer/dryer, iron/board, bed linen, towels and hairdryers. The apartment is well stocked with crockery, cutlery, saucepans, toaster, kettle, books, games and DVDs.

For bookings of multiple weeks, we provide clean bed linen and towels on Saturdays. We can typically provide a cleaning service for an additional charge.

You are welcome to use our large, attractive garden to eat, drink and play. The five-bar gate keeps the space safe for children and you can park up to 2 cars on the driveway. We can store bikes securely for you.

We welcome children but don't allow pets, even well-behaved ones :), smoking or parties. The apartment is only available to rent on a weekly basis - SATURDAY TO SATURDAY - but of course you're free to arrive and/or depart on any day.

Getting around

Aylesbury provides easy access to many cities including Oxford and London. There are two local stations (Aylesbury and Haddenham & Thame Parkway) providing regular train services to London and Birmingham and a good bus service to Oxford and Aylesbury.

Interaction with guest

Our home is another converted barn within the same grounds. Whenever possible we meet guests upon arrival to hand over keys and explain how everything works. We like to give guests space but we're there to help if required - just ask us! We've helped with guests' car, travel and medical issues and are always happy to print maps and boarding passes.

“Holiday”

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the little barn, it is like coming home. We love staying there, it has everything you need. Tracey and Sean are fabulous, happy to help anything.we are looking forward to booking our next holiday there. Karen.

Little Barn Loft provided an exceptionally comfortable and clean environment to stay in for 2 weeks. The temperatures may have been minus degrees outside, but the welcome from the owners was as warm as the apartment itself. Local amenities are very good with excellent public transport links. Local walks are great and you don't need a car to enjoy them. This property would have appeal at any time of year.

Just come back from a stay at Little Barn Loft having thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and having done such a range of activities! Firstly , the loft itself; the accommodation was ideal for a family such as ourselves. The apartment was spotless when we arrived and equipped with all we needed. The games were certainly used in the evenings. It was easy to keep clean and we all slept well beacause it was SO peaceful. Where we stayed was so convenient for so many places - we went to London for a day - an easy journey from Thame Haddenhan Parkway. We visited the Tower Bridge Museum and the Sherlock Holmes museum. We went to Oxford twice, using the park and ride each time and there visited the Pitt Rivers museum and Christchurch College. We also went cycling a couple of times (and I haven't cycled for years!!) from the town of Prince's Risborough which is a few miles away. Bikes were hired from 'Risborough Bikes' and we went on the Pheonix Trail - a seven mile, very flat track for bikes only. In fact we were amazed at how there were cycle paths everywhere in our area. A field away from the apartment was a park with a large field and we played cricket there some evenings. I would also thoroughly recommend the Dinton Hermit pub for an evening drink. At Oxford we ate at the Atomic Burger - a real nostalgic experience and a lot of fun for the kids. The whole experience of staying at Little Barn loft was completely hassle free. Tracey and Shaun were great to deal with - nothing was too much trouble - and we'll certainly plan a return visiti in the future.

I booked the cottage for a week during May-June. The owner was very friendly, welcoming and helpful, offering local advice for tourist attractions. A quiet lane leads to the barn which sits in the owners' peaceful garden. The decor was excellent with a contemporary, spacious feeling, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds and seating. The upper floor was very private and well insulated, there was also a holidaymaker occupying the ground floor, not that I noticed any noise. London is easily accessible by train and the area has many notable attractions too. .

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Tracey and Sean (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
