Standing imposingly in its own large garden, the Old Mill has been carefully refurbished to provide 7 floors of cutting edge design against a backdrop of original features. Glass bannisters, steel staircases and granite worktops blend perfectly with red brick, oak floors and the original workings of the old flour mill.
The house brims with character: Beamed ceilings, woodburners, open fires, squishy sofas.
The huge stainless steel and oak kitchen has french doors leading to the large BBQ area and heated swimming pool (Pool open from April to October incl).
The split level heavily beamed sitting room has the original mill stone as its central feature.
The ground floor of the tower is presented as a formal dining room, whilst overhead, on the first floor, a stunning glass walkway connects the house to the Mill Tower.

"Great weekend break"
Stayed with group of friends had a great time. Highlight was private dining, the food was outstanding. Owners went out of their way to meet our needs. Even though there were 15 of us there was plenty of room and lots to keep us entertained.

"The Old Mill is incredible!"
Had a wonderful stay at The Old Mill with my husband and a group of friends to celebrate a special occasion. The renovation has been done to a very high standard, which makes The Old Mill feel very special - there was lots of running around and shouts of amazement when people first arrived & were exploring - there is so much space! It is perfect for a large group. Everyone commented on how comfy the beds were - some of the friends wished they could take the pillows & duvets home! The owners were very helpful and accommodating, during the preparations for our stay & during our time at The Old Mill - getting us a new gas canister for the barbecue at short notice... I would highly recommend The Old Mill!

"A weekend to remember"
What can I say this place has it all. Right from the word go Sandra was helpful and very accommodating when booking though to when we arrived. Garry's private dinning menu was fantastic and a great service to offer especially if like us you have lots of children which makes going out for a meal more difficult. The house is well equipped with lots of space we managed to cook a breakfast for all 15 of us with no drama. The windmill has obviously been lovely restored maintaining its unique features, it truly is breathtaking. The pool was loved by all and the outside space was fantastic. We went for my Dad's 60th and the Old Mill made it a weekend to remember.

"An excellent weekend"
A group of my friends and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Old Mill for the weekend and can honestly say this place is amazing. It is spacious with an enormous kitchen and dining area, multiple lounges and a more formal dining room at the base of the tower so there is plenty of space for people to spread out. Everyone really enjoyed their stay and cannot recommend this place enough as a venue for a larger gathering. It has an enormous amount of character that really adds something to your time away. It has a good sized garden which would make a great place to stay in the summer. It was raining for most of our stay but the Mill is such a great place that this didn’t impact our enjoyment at all and the games room is such a good touch too. The owners are very helpful and welcoming too. I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone looking for a large venue that offers something different and provides for a memorable occasion.

"Excellent and Unique place to stay!!!"
We have just spend five days in March at The Old Mill, with 13 extended family member's, age ranging from sixty to seven months. The Old Mill is a stunning place to stay, with bags of features and plenty of room for everyone to enjoy! Although staying when there was snow on the ground I was a little worried due to the nature of the buliding it may be a bit cold, but the under floor heating and two fire's at either end of the property ensured we were very warm and cosy throughout our stay (very impressed at the large amount of wood available to use and that the fire's were well guarded so our little one's were completely safe!). Obviously being March we couldn't use the pool, but the Mill still offered lots to do, both for adults and children. Everyone enjoyed the games room, trampoline, lovely big garden, wii and good amount of board games. We've never stayed in a holiday home which was so well equipped. Sandra the owner was very lovely throughout the booking process and on the run up too and during our stay. We will definitely be returning.

"Great place for large groups and super stylish to boot!"
We recently stayed in The Old Mill with a family group of 15 (children aged 6-16) and we had a marvellous time. The Mill was beautifully restored and presented and the decor was stylish and comfortable. The house offered lots of different communal areas for our group of varying ages; the teenagers could be playing in the games room whilst the younger ones were doing a puzzle and the grown ups were reading the papers in peace in front of the fire. I loved the fact that the property had two tables that can accomodate 15 comfortably. There was one in the kitchen for breakfast and then an amazing round table at the base of the mill for evening meals and conversation. The kitchen was very well equipped with all the crockery and cookware you would need for a slap up meal for 15. I can't recommend The Old Mill more highly and I already have one friend who has booked for the summer - lucky them will be able to use the pool! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

"Even better than expected. And we expected a lot!"
Our experience was a fantastic one right from start to finish. Sandra was incredibly helpful when booking, the instructions we were given in the lead up to our visit were comprehensive and gaining access to the property couldn't have been more straightforward. As for the house itself... Well you know when you walk in somewhere and just go "wow"? That. I can't imagine how the conversion itself could have been done any better. It is equipped to a very high standard with everything we could have possibly needed and was spotlessly clean to boot. Yes, getting to the top two bedrooms in the tower does involve going through the one below but no one found this an issue and in fact everyone felt it was sufficiently private whilst adding to the charm. My only regret is that we weren't there in the summer to make more of the outside facilities and the pool. On the other side of the coin though, being there in winter meant we could take advantage of fuelling the open fire and woodburner with the copious logs supplied. Not that the place was chilly by any means. Everyone admitted they'd brought extra jumpers in anticipation but no one needed them. We were very warm and cosy throughout. And the underfloor heating in the kitchen and tower was just a brilliant touch. Anyway, I guess you get the picture by now but don't just take my word for it, go and see for yourself.

"This place is AMAZING!"
The Old Mill was more than we could've ever hoped for. We hired it for my hen weekend, there were 13 of us and we did not feel cramped at all (obviously there has to be some bed-sharing which we were fine with). I'll never forget the joy of first exploring it. I was, and still am, chuffed with our choice. The photos do not (and cannot) do the place justice - it has to be seen! I was concerned that the main red living room with TV would be a tight squeeze for us all hanging out together, watching DVDs etc - it wasn't. Plenty of space on the sofas and cushions on the floor, we even moved an extra sofa in from the room next door and it was still fine. The people in the tower bedrooms were not cold at all in February, they had heaters and electric blankets. The round dining table is huge and easily accommodated us (as did the long table in the kitchen). The glass walkway and mill workings are very cool, just added to the fun of the place. Highly recommend this excellently renovated property (also kept to a high standard by the cleaners). If you book here you are in for a treat.

"A truly unique place to stay - unforgettable !"
We spent 4 nights at The Old Mill and had a really wonderful time. Being there in early February we were offered a super discounted price which made the holiday exceptional value for money. Although unable to sample the swimming pool we could imagine the outdoors would be magical in the summer months. The house was exceptionally clean and well equipped, very spacious yet warm and cosy. The windmill has been beautifully restored and the circular dining table under the glass walkway is stunning. Communications with Sandra, the owner, were excellent throughout and we would very happily recommend the property to family and friends. All in all, a fantastic place to stay.
