A quirky cottage dating back to the 1600's in this quiet rural village at the foot of the Quantock Hills. Situated in an area of Oustanding Natural Beauty. With inglenook fireplace, original 17th century Truro window and exposed beams, low doorways, Quantock Cottage offers modern facilities and a good sized enclosed garden ideal to spend your evenings relaxing . There is such a lot of beautiful places to visit very close to Stogursey. Try the Steart Marshes, the pebbled Kilve beach which is very close by and famous for fossil hunting, the West Somerset Railway or the busy market town of Minehead or why not take a ramble around the unspoilt Quantock Hills, you will not be disappointed by their beauty.

Stogursey is a conservation village with a 900 year old church a 12th Century castle ruin with a moat.

The nearby village of Nether Stowey, was the home of the romantic poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge where you can visit his cottage (NT). Whilst there, why not visit the lovely Quantock Tearooms for a delicious cream tea.

Other eating places to recommend too are The Babbling Brook at Shurton or The Lamb at Spaxton which are a short drive away.

This quiet rural village is only a 20 minute drive from junction 23 of the M5. All the main supermarket chains deliver to the cottage. Parking is on the road.

For a true break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Quantock Cottage is an ideal place to relax and unwind.

Getting around

There are so many delightful villages to visit , all offering their unique reason to visit. Dunster with its castle, Kilve with lovel tearooms and fossil beaches, Lyndon and lynmouth, steep in history and porlock with its hills and scenery.

On your arrival, we will have a welcoming tray of tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits and there will be milk in the fridge to sit down and make yourself a cuppa and start to relax. Our original 16th century Truro window is full of leaflets and information for you to explore the beautiful countryside.

“Spacious but cosy quirky cottage”

The photos do not do this cottage justice! Plenty of space for 4, but still warm and cosy! We all loved the fire and fell asleep many evenings on the comfortable sofas! Comfortable beds and enough space in the garden for our 4 legged friend too. We hope to be back again, thank you to the host Julie.

A relaxing, homely little cottage in the high street of Storgursey Village, this location is made for relaxing. The village pub is literally around the corner with friendly staff and locals. The cottage is a perfect jump off to visit so many different locations in Somerset and at the end of the day, to come back to its inviting warm cosyness with separate dining room and lounge makes the perfect end to the day.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Julie (the owner) a message.

If Julie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
