Location description from owner

The Scotland region

Half an hour north of Glasgow and Edinburgh, sits the smallest city with the biggest history. Stirling Castle with its palace halls and chambers, sits proudly on its rock (like Edinburgh) surrounded by the City. Watching over it from across the Stirling Bridge sits the mighty tower of the national monument to Sir William Wallace (Braveheart) and on the edge of the town, Robert the Bruce is remembered at site of the battle at Bannockburn. Stirling is both the gateway to the highlands and the heart of scotland. It sits on the River Forth holding all of Scotland together, and all places north and south, east and west, and big and small can be reached from this most ancient place.

Stirling

Stirling is the very heart of Scotland, beating as strong today as it did for William Wallace at Stirling Bridge and Robert the Bruce at Bannockburn. Whether its to visit the best castle in Scotland or the National Wallace Monument to see the Sword, or to Doune Castle to find the Holy Grail, or Bannockburn for the battle, or Dunblane to catch Andy Murray, or out in Glasgow, Edinburgh or travelling around Scotland, then Stirling offers all this and so much more.
