Description

Forest Grove is a self-contained holiday home near the Coastal Path, offering privacy and comfort in a beautiful rural location, yet still within easy reach of award-winning beaches, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, restaurants and public transport.

It is a great base from which to explore the many award-winning beaches in Pembrokeshire, or you can simply relax here and enjoy the wonderful views over Pleasant Valley and towards Carmarthen Bay, or be entertained by the wild rabbits and pheasants in the garden. Saundersfoot, Coppet Hall and Wisemans Bridge beaches are all just a pleasant walk from here, or a short car or bus ride takes you to Tenby, Amroth or Pendine Sands.

The Pembrokeshire Coastal Park location makes it a great place for nature lovers or peace and quiet seekers. The Park Ranger described it as "glorious for biodiversity" because of the mixed woodland here, which attracts many birds, including pheasant, partridge, buzzard, owl, woodpecker, songthrush,

The Pembrokeshire Coastal Park location makes it a great place for nature lovers or peace and quiet seekers. The Park Ranger described it as "glorious for biodiversity" because of the mixed woodland here, which attracts many birds, including pheasant, partridge, buzzard, owl, woodpecker, songthrush, and the garden favourites like robin, bluetit and chaffinch, with occasional peacocks visiting. As you can imagine, this gives us a wonderful dawn chorus.

We provide a book of walking routes to help you explore Pembrokeshire - there are more than 200 walking routes in this area that we can help you find out about. There is also a map to the many geocaches hidden locally and finding these can make a walk even more enjoyable (hint: the Tardis at Sardis is an easy one to start you off). If interested in astronomy you will enjoy the Dark Sky Discovery site at Broadhaven, and the astro-photography workshops run by award-winning photographer Drew Buckley.

You can enjoy meals outside or just relax on the sun loungers on the decking while being entertained by the garden wildlife. The lounge has sliding doors opening onto the decking, and has a TV and DVD. There is wi-fi internet throughout.

The well-equipped kitchen is open-plan to the lounge and has a fridge, freezer, electric cooker/hob, and microwave, iron and ironing board.

The bedroom has a double bed (a fold up bed is also available) and plenty of wardrobe space, and the shower-room has a walk-in shower with washbasin, bidet and toilet. There is a laundrette nearby at Kilgetty which offers service washes if you prefer not to wait.

Bedlinen and kitchen equipment are supplied. Towels are provided (two hand towels and two bath towels per Guest staying 7 days or more, and one of each per Guest for shorter stays) so you only need to bring your personal toiletries and your food, tea, coffee, sugar etc.

Overseas visitors will find the three travel electric adaptors useful for charging phones, computers, toothbrushes etc. A hairdryer is provided.

It's warm and cosy for autumn and winter breaks as there is underfloor heating. There is off-road parking. The property is strictly non-smoking indoors.

Check in is anytime from 3pm onwards (please call or text us on the day to let us know expected arrival time) and check out is 10am. Please let us know if you need different times and we'll do our best to help provided we have enough time to do the changeover between arriving and departing Guests. Prices include electricity, heating, internet and parking, and a weekly clean and change of bed linen for Guests staying more than seven days.

You will always be warmly welcomed and the owners are on hand next door or by phone if you need any help or suggestions on where to visit Please let us know of any special interests eg history, photography, cycling, wildlife, outdoor sports - Pembrokeshire really does have something for everyone.

“we are keen to return.”

Reviewed 6 Oct 2016

This place was a spacious and relaxing venue that gave a feeling of rural peace with a prospect of the sea and easy access to some idyllic walks and beaches. The hosts are welcoming and friendly ; while access to nearby towns like Tenby is quick and easy. Recommended to anyone wanting a comfortable base from which to explore Pembrokeshire.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review, we are very lucky to live so near the beaches and it is a pleasure to be able to share this peaceful location with our Guests. We look forward to welcoming you again next year.
