This is the principal town for the region that is still untouched by the modern age, stroll along the ramshackle streets, enjoy a local coffee (if you're up to it!) in one of the many Tavernas. Chill and relax with a mouth watering Cypriot salad in the quaint town square and wonder where the day went. The town offers all the facilities you will need for your stay in this unspoilt part of Europe.
For families there is a laid back beach with restaurant and bar set amongst eucalyptus groves, just watch you don't burn.
Steni is located between mountains and plains and much of the village history relates to the river that flowed across the community with five oil mills situated along its banks, the oldest dating back to the 16th century. The bridge that crossed the river connecting the two parts of the village was the meeting point for locals during the evenings, who would sit chatting while listening to the flow of the river. Even though the river no longer flows through the village, Steni still enjoys a laid back atmosphere. The village is evolving with the times but its developments are controlled so it still retains much of its natural charm and character. Amongst its modern day amenities Steni counts a small village store, coffee shop and village tavern.

"Great vews and Spacious Rooms"
This was a perfect place to spend a holiday, with great views of the mountains - and even the sea if you crane your neck! The rooms were large, bright and most importantly cleaned to a high standard. The facilities were first class and I was particuarly impressed with the kitchen with came fully equipped and even included a very hand dishwasher! There were balconies of various sizes and the verandah was more than adequate for a party! The pool, although not large, was perfect for splashing around and the large garden complimented the house. The main town of Polis was a ten minute drive away and although not bustling is very friendly and includes more than enough restaurants and bars. The village of Steni, where the villa is located is a five minute walk downhill and inclues a museum run by the Mayor.
