“The most perfect little house in a wonderful location on the Cote d'Azur”
For our fifth year running, my partner and I and our three children returned to Failte, to the sea and the sunshine and the smiles of Sainte-Maxime. If you want a competitively priced house on this secluded, safe domain, with all the trimmings of 'back home', where you can feel comfortable and relax and base yourself to enjoy the beaches and sights of the area, this is it. Our kids have grown up enjoying Debbie's smashing home - they are now 14, 12 and 9 - and it is without a doubt the most enjoyable week of our year; it's why we keep going back! Fabulous views, thoughtfully furnished, splendid location; I would - and do - recommend this place to everyone and anyone. :-)
“Great place to relax and enjoy the Cotes d'azur !!”
This is a great place to spend your time in the Cotes d'azur. The house is exactly as seen in the photos, we especially love the terrace with a magnificent view across the bay. The location is excellent just far enough away from the "strip" between St Maxime and St Tropez but close enough to go whenever the mood took us. All the arrangements for the handover of the keys went very smoothly. One of the best parts of the stay was the daily visit to the clubhouse, the pool was rarely full and it wa great to take a dip while looking over the bay. In summary if you see the advertisemnet and thinkig shall, the answer is you should !!! Thanks Debbie, maybe see you again next year
“Provencal Mas with Views over St Tropez Bay”
This is the second time we have stayed in Failte and it still has great attractions for us. A quiet location, great views, a large on site swimming pool, 3 tennis courts, a restaurant (in season) and free wifi, all contribute to a very enjoyable stay. We have now stayed in three different Mas's on the main Domaine site and Failte remains far and away the best kitted out and presented one compared to the french owned ones we have booked. The entire site is well looked after and maintained by the local management company with only mild disruption by very ocasional visits from families of wild boar after night fall, who provide some interesting local colour, if you are lucky enough to see them! The tennis courts, which are free, have a simple key booking system based on 45 minute slots and saved us a fortune over previous years, when we used to book courts at the Ste Maxime tennis club down on the Croisette - now approaching 20 euros an hour!. A car is essential to get to and from the Mas and down to the Croissette, where there is lots of free parking. However, it is important that any guests make sure they have the four digit entry code to the Domaine's main gates to enable them to get on and off the site. The only mild downside is that main access road from the Croissette up to the site gates, (for which Sainte Maxime's local government is responsible), continues to deteriorate with increasing bumps and potholes, but we can live with that in return for the beautiful terrace and views!
“Very pleasant stay, we had a great time in Failte & the domaine”
We stayed in Failte for 2 weeks with our 2 sons aged 7 & 9. The house is not too big, but has right what it needs for a family and especially the large terrace with view over the St Tropez beach is compelling. The house is located on a hill in a lush & green domaine close to St Maxime. It is quiet, not too crowded & well located. The domaine has a large swimming pool with a club house that serves as restaurant during July-August, very convenient.
“The perfect coastal retreat in Provence”
This property is within a private estate which is beautifully kept and whilst there are many properties, it remains extremely private and secluded. The terrace is one of the best features of the house with wonderful views over the Gulf of St. Tropez, the perfect place to relax and enjoy that glass of chilled wine. The property is a typical Provencal house, two quite basic but comfortable bedrooms, a very good bathroom and a delightful sitting and kitchen area. All the furnishings are in excellent condition and the kitchen has everything a holiday home should have. We loved it and hope to return again and again.
“Perfect place to relax with a spectacular view”
The terraced house on two-levels is lovingly furnished and equipped with everything you need. We felt at home immediately. We enjoyed the terrace with a gorgeous view across the bay. The house was perfectly clean and everything was in excellent condition. The estate is well taken care of and very quiet and peaceful. The pool is nice, at times a bit crowded, but the nearby beaches offer enough alternatives for a swim. The tennis courts were a great addition we took advantage of several times. St. Maxime is a good base for exploring the St. Tropez region and offers many shops, restaurants and leisure activities. We can definitely recommend this holiday house for a relaxing holiday!! A car is recommended.
“Oasis of tranquility amid the buzz of the cote d'Azur”
A traditional house perched on the top of a hill - hence the amazing views, we found Failte a great base for exploring the region. The space was ideal for 3 adults with a modern bathroom and well equipped kitchen - you felt very at home. The domain was pretty and had a nice pool and clubhouse surrounded by beautiful views and due to its quirky layout , there are a lot of steps and inclines. It would be tricky to find/park at the house if you arrived at night. The little beach at the junction with the main road is ideal with free parking (a car is essential in the hot weather as it is too far too walk) . Grimaud is a beautiful old village in contrast to the glitz of St. Tropez and there are plenty of breathtaking views and things to do in the area. The house was peaceful and relaxing even thought it was high summer and only minutes from the hustle and bustle of the markets, brocantes, restaurants and shops which make the South of France so magical. The house really combines traditional andmodern living with and would be a welcoming place to stay all year round.
“Another enjoyable stay”
This was our second visit and happy to report again that all aspects of the house and its facilities were just as last year, providing us with a most enjoyable 2 weeks holiday.
“Our favorite holiday house”
Great house in a wonderful private domain, peaceful big terrace with great view of the mediterranean. Hope to come again and again and again ....
“Well appointed and beautiful views”
I would says - a little distance from St maxime ( actually outside the town) and lots of traffic , therefore we didn't go to St maxime as much as we would have liked. Very lasrge pool - but quite buy during the day ( nice an empty after 6:30), nice tennis courts. The villas was lovely but very hot, only one fan worked properly, a?c would have been good, but the weather was very hot 36 degrees. small but well appointed kitchen, nice outdoor furniture - an outside light would have been helpful. The views were amazing. a nice beach on the way to St Maxime - free parking.
