Location description from owner

The Dalmatia region

Stari Grad, the oldest town in Croatia and one of the oldest in Europe, attracts you with its ancient culture and prehistoric monuments. Archeologic localities from 4 th century BC take your breath away. Stari Grad's port is a story in itself. Probably a key reason why the Greeks felt so secure about creating a colony here in 384 BC. Unlike most local island coastlines, this part of Hvar has an almost fjord-like deep cut into the island creating one of the best protected harbors in the entire Adriatic. Meditteranean mild climate , places of interest like Petar Hektorovic Castle, St. Rocco's Church, The Dominican Monastery of St. Peter the Martyr, founded in 1482.,bike paths, hiking, sea kayaking, wine tasting and fascinating museums- it's all here, and more!
Stari Grad Cultural Summer Program, Hvar Wine Association tasting and Faros Swimming Marathon in Stari Grad leave a unique experience.

Stari Grad

The island of Hvar is the most insolated island of Adriatic with annual average of 2726 sunny hours. It is the island of sun, wine and lavender.
