The Lake District National Park is but a short drive away with all it's wonderful features, however you are able to escape the hustle and bustle of this area to return to the peaceful retreat at Staffield.

Staffield

We are located some 12 miles from Penrith with easy access to the M6 motorway. This area is known as the Eden Valley and the river flows close by the hall. It's gentle countryside with quaint villages offers a great get away from it all break. Local walks are available to you and the local villages each have small amenity shops and pubs serving food and local ales.

“Lovely”

We had a lovely time at Staffield Hall, it's just a shame that we only had a weekend there! The apartment was spotlessly clean, very comfortable (especially the bed, which was enormous), and welcoming. The tea, coffee, milk and Maltesers which were thoughtfully left for us were much appreciated. The views from all of the windows were spectacular, in fact the views were very distracting on the drive up because they were so stunning. We would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Cumbria. The only thing I would say is that Dove Cote might not be the best choice for anyone who is not brilliant on their feet, because it is right at the top of the house in what I presume were the servants quarters. That certainly wouldn't stop us from going back though!
