A holiday at Walnut Cottage has something for everyone for those who want to experience long and relaxing days, for those who wish to swim and try the water sports at the lake. For those of you who are golfers so many courses to choose.

Fishermen, there is a wide range of fish, the carp will pleasantly shock you; they come from all over Europe to fish in this area. Not forgetting the amateur photographer, the walker, the cyclist, what ever you want from your holiday, the Creuse and surrounding area has this and more to offer.

St Sebastien is so close to where the famous painters came to paint including Claude Monet & Armand Guillaumin the Sedelle valley is famous for their painting and after visiting the site you will see why just amazing.

The famous George Sands frequently walked around the ruins of Crozant inviting the impressionist painters to the area as it was so beautiful.

For all animal lovers you could'nt chose a better place to be ZooParc de Beauval has Giant Pandas Then there is La Vallee des Singes where monkeys and apes are many, Planet Crocodiles where there are plus 200 crocodiles to see how amazing are these places to visit and only a car ride away so you see there is definatly something for everyone hope to see. Please if you have any questions remember we are here to help. Check out our photographs to see just a little piece of what is on offer We are very excited to annouse our local lake is having a re-vamp ready for summer 2020, there will be Resturant Bar and Cafe Openair Theatre, Swimming Pool, Play ground for the little ones, Water Sports, Promenard, Water Slide, Fitness Centre there will be so much for you to enkoy and only 15 minutes away. We are in the process of making a one lane lawn bowls green which should be finished in the spring

Home comfort is our priority you will find Walnut Cottage more than comfortable with its original oak beams and doors, carpeted lounge and bedroom area both newly fitted

Newly installed in the kitchen you have an gas hob, fridge, microwave, grill/oven and all the usual items a kitchen needs to make life easy... Adjacent to the Lounge/kitchen is the shower room/toilet also newly fitted.

On arrival you will find complimentary Tea Coffee and Sugar and a welcome pack AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.(Given to those who book 7 days or more)

Walnut Cottage is set in a large well design garden with plenty of flowers trees and shrubs. To add to your comfort there are sunbeds hammock tables chairs a purpose built stone BBQ swings and fish pond.

We are keen veggie gardeners so if, when you are here, the vegetables are ready to be picked, you are very welcome to help yourself, the same is for the fruit.

There is virtually no traffic so it is very safe for children. There are many shady places for you to read or just relax. The garden is large enough for children to play and have fun.

Firstly we want to say we were so very sorry you did not enjoy your stay at Walnut Cottage I did meet you at your car I asked had you all had your vaccinations and you told me no so I knew then we had to follow government guidelines as we were both double jabbed. We did not constantly monitor you as you very seldom left the cottage, we do say if heating is required you only have to ask that is stated on our web page, there is a fire extinguisher above the sink. You say we should question ourselves as our French is not good and that I do agree but to advise French people not to come here and we should return to the other side of the channel made us very sad We do hope your visit to the Creuse will not stop you visiting the area again We wish you all good things.

We were so sorry to be told you did not feel comfortable had we were able to chat to you Im sure you wouldnt have felt that way however you seldom left the cottage I dont think the weather helped to mention a few things that you have commented on I would like to reply we do hold our hands ups to the settee as soon as our guests leave on Saturday it is going to be replaced. The dinning table has placemats for 4 people not 2 as you said, an unusable bowl that is a normal white plastic bowl and it was spotless , I understand you had an emergency and had to leave however we had no idea you were leaving and we were in the house until 10.30 of which time you could have told us anyway that is not important I did confirm that i had torn your damage deposit cheque up so there were no issue it took longer than normal as with coronavirus we are advise not to enter the cottgae straight away All in all we are so sorry your stay didnt live up to all you hoped for and we hope the rest of the summer is kind to you

How do damage deposits work?
