“Perfect Relaxing Home Base for St. Remy / Arles / Camargue Exploration”

On a recent road trip following the footsteps of Vincent van Gogh, our family of four spent four nights in the ground-floor unit 6 of the "Mas de Valrugues" at the end of June and beginning of July. The unit was clean and well-furnished, with a very comfortable master bed and a nice sleeper couch. The air conditioning was well appreciated during an unusually hot spell we found during our stay. We ate a relaxing breakfast and lunch at home outside on the covered entryway porch, and its position was such that there was shade both at breakfast and lunch times. From this home base, we ventured out by car to see nearby Arles, Les Baux di Provence, Saintes Maries del la Mer. We loved that the unit felt like it was in the country, with the typical sounds of cicadas in the summer, despite being a less than 10 minute walk to beautiful, downtown St. Remy. We took a walking tour of St. Paul de Mausole that was great, and got to experience the weekly market that occupies most of the downtown streets of St. Remy. Having a pool at the unit was great for a refreshing dip after a hot day. The wifi we were told about worked around the pool near the clubhouse, but (unexpectedly) we also were able to connect to a different wifi SSID in the unit itself (might have been a temporary thing from a nearby unit since the woman who met us to open the unit only mentioned the wifi near the pool/clubhouse). The unit even offered a convenient combination safe for storing valuables that we made use of. I would recommend this unit to any family of 3 or 4 looking for a room with pool near St. Remy.

A notre arrivée à St Remy de Provence , nous avons trouvé un appartement propre , accueillant et avec toutes les commodités nécessaires à notre séjour ( place de parking , cuisine équipée , jolie décoration) La résidence est très bien située , dans un quartier calme et résidentiel , à moins de 10 mn à pied du centre ville . Nous recommandons vivement cette adresse qui semble idéale pour découvrir la Provence .

“A wonderful place to stay”

Splendid location for a very comfortable flat! We had a wonderful stay, the apartment was very cosy and the neighborhood very quiet. We enjoyed mostly walking to the center of Saint Remy and go to the market or have lunch. We were lucky that the weather was warm enough in this early season to be able to enjoy the pool and relax on the sun deck. I never get tired of Provence, the scenery is just unique and so authentic… and the food is just what we love! We got back home really refreshed after this week. We highly recommend this flat!
