"A beautiful, homely haven in the heart of the French countryside"
As soon as we arrived at Chez Hawksley we realised we'd made a great decision to book it. The home was exceptionally well kitted out with everything you'd possibly need. The kitchen area was great to hang out in and had incredibly modern appliances yet the house has retained a rustic feel which leaves you missing it as soon as you've driven out of the driveway. We'd love to come back and stay again! p.s. the zipwire is a pretty cool addition and I wish my mother in law had plucked up the courage to take the leap of faith!

"Amazing house, brilliant pool and gardens close to great lakes and rivers."
The house is perfect for two families or a large group with 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs giving privacy if needed. Lots of living space and tables inside and out for dining. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The children all loved the pool and gardens, as well as the extensive DVD collection! A short cycle takes you to a river beach, plus campsite with facilities you can use, as well as a tree trekking centre. A short drive takes you to a lovely lake with beach and cafe. All good.

"Fantastic - we have never stayed in such a lovely rental property"
Absolutely lovely french farmhouse. Beautiful garden and outside seating areas. Gorgeous pool discretely tucked away in walled off area of garden, complete with zip wire and perfect space for children to play. Plenty of shade for hot days. Inside the property is luxuriously appointed. Lovely, well equipped kitchen. Weather too nice for us to be indoors for long but sitting room looked snug and inviting. Beds all very comfortable with lovely bedding. Good children's dorm with play area and lots of toys. Great area. Easy cycle to nearest village with good boulangerie, restaurant, pizzeria, small market etc. Seemed plenty to do if you so wish, we visited a couple of river beaches/lakes and the Friday market in Riberac. We didn't want to leave! We hope to go back.

"Beautiful house, fabulous pool, amazing family holiday"
My husband and i travelled with our 2 children aged 3 and 8 and our friends and their 2 children aged 5 and 7. The house is beautiful and contains everything you need and more for a relaxing self catering family holiday. Everything in the house was of excellent quality, the owners have spared no expense. The pool was perfect, it was cleaned every week by a pool maintenance company. It had ample sunloungers around the pool, umbrellas and also a gazebo which provided much needed protection from the sun (we had amazing weather) so it was easy to keep the children out of the sun when not in the pool. The children loved the zip wire located at the bottom of the garden. The gardens are beautiful and well looked after by kris, and provided hours of fun playing hide and seek and bug hunting. We spent alot of time outside as there were 3 areas for eating however we did have rain on 1 day and spent the day inside but there was enough space and things to do for the children therefore no one felt cooped up. The childrens accomodation is great as they all got to share a room and it is stocked with lots of games and toys to keep them all happy. The adult accomodation is spacious and the beds were very comfortable, the living accomodation is huge and had plenty of seating for everyone. All in all we had a great time and the owners Jayne and Chris have created a wonderfully warm and welcoming place to spend your holiday.
