Welcome to La Vieille Etable, our Newly Renovated Contemporary Luxury Holiday Barn in the Dordogne. Located in the village of St-Priest-Les-Fougères on the edge of the Parc Naturel Régional Périgord Limousin, our 19th Century Barn has a deck terrase with luxury hot tub and overlooks 4 acres of private grounds and our fresh water swimming lake. The barn has been lovingly renovated to a superb standard. The refurbished, honey-coloured oak wooden beams mix perfectly with contemporary furnishings to provide a sleek modern haven for relaxation, while the private grounds and lake provide plenty of space for you and your family and friends to walk, picnic, fish or simply relax and enjoy the wonderful peace of the French countryside. Our downstairs accommodation is light spacious and airy. Modern furnishings, fixtures and fittings mix harmoniously with oak beams and an open-plan layout to give the perfect space for relaxing with family or entertaining with friends. And with underfloor heating and a wood burning stove, you can relax at La Vielle Etable all year round. First floor accommodation is located on a mezzanine landing looking over the full height dining area. La Vieille Etable has 4 double bedrooms, 2 of which have large king size beds. Each bedroom is equipped a bed, 2 bedside tables each with a lamp, a radio alarm clock with iPod/iPhone dock, a dressing table and stool with lamp, mirror and hair dryer, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe with full length mirrored door. All of our beds have luxury pocket sprung mattresses with a thick layer of memory foam to ensure your comfort every single night. La Vieille Etable is located in 4 acres of private grounds with its own lake which is stocked with Perch, Carp and Roach. Our deck terrace enjoys a panoramic view of the grounds and surrounding countryside and benefits from both sun and shade throughout the day. Why not enjoy the scenery from the comfort of the hot tub, soak up the sun in one of our loungers or enjoy the best of al-fresco dining. The grounds are mown so that you can walk around the lake or picnic at your leisure. Our freshwater lake is fed with a constant supply of clean water making it haven for wildlife and wild swimming. We now have a dock ladder into the lake giving easier access for those who enjoy wild swimming in a natural environment with no chemicals.

“Simply the best ! Better than all the rest”
Quite simply the best French holiday home we have ever stayed in boasting an Idyliic location, a short walk to the bar and boulangerie and close to a supermarket only 3 miles drive away! Mark and Lyndsey are the perfect hosts and have established a gem of a property for guests to share! The lake is safe for all ages to enjoy whether diving off the jetty or splashing around on a lilo. The dogs were welcomed with open paws, loved the freedom of the secure grounds and if they could leave a glowing review themselves I'm sure they would . The house has four fantastic double bedrooms , open plan living, dining and kitchen all finished to a very high specification. Everything you could need is readily at hand from dishwasher to excellent wifi and English TV. The hot tub is state of the art and meticulously cleaned weekly so we made use of it every night gazing at the amazing skyline and stars followed by a luxurious outdoor shower. The charcoal barbecue is large and conveniently located on the elevated decked veranda close the kitchen to make al fresco dining simple and pleasurable around the 8 seater patio table. Quite simply you need to stay here to believe how good it is ! Mark and Lyndsey are contactable at all times both prior to booking and during your stay! Nothing is too much trouble and they even helped by taking us to the local vets to get our dogs passports stamped for our return to the uk. An amazing property and grounds that We can't wait to return to next year ! Congratulations mark and Lyndsey you've got it spot on!!

- How do damage deposits work?
In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

- How do I cancel my booking?
Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.
- How do I edit my booking?
You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Mark and Lindsay (the owner) a message.
If Mark and Lindsay (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
