Description

This attractive, shared 2/2 condo at 920 sf. is my own residence along with my dear cat, Don. I have my own bedroom and bathroom and am easy going and casual, so you'll feel very comfortable here. The guest bedroom's door is kept closed so the room is off-limits to Don. For a great price in this area, you get a private, tropical-themed private guest bedroom with queen bed and a private bathroom with tub and shower. The guest bedroom has a large closet, oak laminate flooring, queen bed, dresser with mirror, 2 bedside tables with lamp, chest of drawers, chair, ceiling fan, and window with pool view. Enjoy full use of the living and dining areas with crystal chandelier, breakfast bar, fully supplied kitchen for all your cooking needs with black granite countertops, tile floors, 42 inch LED TV, wifi, and all utilities. All windows have white plantation shutters.This entire 4th floor condo overlooks the pool and the nature preserve filled with palms and live oak trees for a secluded, resort-style ambiance. Amenities include a huge oval pool, fitness center, sand volleyball court, picnic/BBQ areas, laundry rooms, and free guest parking.

This is a very convenient location across the street from a new upscale marina complex--ideal for your boat! We're adjacent to the Skyway Bridge in south St. Petersburg, 4 miles due east of St. Pete Beach and the lovely nature preserve of Ft. Desoto Park which are accessibly in 12 minutes by car.. The condo is in a retro, historic,1960s Brazilian art deco building. It's not the Hilton or Ritz Carlton, but its unique, curvy design is unrivaled in the U.S. The exterior walls are actually made of blue-sapphire glass which, for some reason, was painted over years ago. Many renovations have been made in recent years such as enhanced landscaping and a new roof with more to come in future years such as new balconies, so those are are decorative only at this time (not for use) until the HOA decides what to do with them in the next 2-5 years.

The modern kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave oven, stainless steel refrigerator, ceramic top stove/oven, ample cabinet space, black granite countertops and backsplash, and all dishes/utensils/pots/pans to prepare your own meals. Three bar stools at the granite breakfast bar make casual eating a pleasure. The dining area has an elegant slate tile/oak dining table with 4 chairs under a crystal chandelier hanging overhead. Nice!

The living room has a leather sofa and recliners, coffee table and end tables, ceiling fan, electric fireplace, 42 in. LED TV, whitish tile throughout, and classic artwork and decor. Included are wifi and basic cable TV and all utilities including central AC, heating, and water.

We are minutes from the waters and beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, Ft. DeSoto Park, and St. Pete Beach. This shared condo is equipped with all the comforts and conveniences needed for a memorable Florida vacation. Numerous activities are available nearby--enjoy the area's walking and biking trails, fishing, swimming, golfing, boating, sight-seeing trips, nightlife, casino cruises, sunset cruises, watercraft rentals, and more. Hop on board the Suncoast Beach Trolley at the Don Cesar, the famous "Pink Palace" on St. Pete Beach recently named "American's Best Historic Hotel," and spend the day exploring and touring Florida's Gulf beaches. Enjoy the "catch of the day" at one of the many beachfront restaurants or take a break from the sun and sand and meander through the unique shops and many tourist attractions up and down our beautiful coastline such as St. John's Pass. If you desire theme park adventures, Busch Gardens is a 45 minute drive east while Walt Disney World, Sea World, and Universal Studios are less than 2 hours away. Shop, dine, and explore downtown St. Petersburg during your stay. Sundial, the city’s newest architectural wonder in the heart of downtown, will mesmerize you with its unique collection of shops, restaurants, spas, nightlife, and entertainment. The place “to be” in downtown St. Pete is Beach Drive. Overflowing culture and arts, the unrivaled Chihuly Collection is just one of many diverse galleries along Beach Drive. The excellent dining at one of the many upscale restaurants is a must. St. Pete’s picturesque waterfront is also home to the world-class Dali Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Mahaffey Theater, Florida Orchestra, and over 1,000 special events and festivals each year. For visiting sports fans, the choices abound--Tropicana Field, the home of the Tampa Bay Rays, is a 15 minute drive. Just north on Interstate 275 is Raymond James Stadium and Amalie Arena, home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lightning. The Tampa Bay area is also home to the Rowdies of the North American Soccer League, minor league baseball, and MLB Spring Training. So, pack your bags because it's vacation time which around here means fun in the sun!

Getting around

A rental car is recommended but some guests use Uber. A public bus stop is a 5-minute walk from the building. A Publix supermarket, convenience stores, pharmacy, banks, and some restaurants are also 5 minutes from here, walking. We're across the street from a new marina complex. The street has free, unlimited parking 24/7 for cars, RVs, and boat trailers.

Interaction with guest

I'm often gone during the day, so guests come and go casually with ease and have plenty of privacy. I'm originally from Eastern Europe. My hobbies are walking, hiking, bike riding, reading, traveling, and many others. I don't smoke and rarely drink. In that regard, no smokers here, please, or any other animals allowed.

This is a peaceful, historic residential condo building ideal for a relaxing holiday because it's minutes from beaches, nature preserves, and beautiful downtown St. Petersburg.
