Description

Le Tilleul" is an 18th Century farmhouse believed to date back to the Middle-Ages situated close to the small and quiet village of Milhac de Nontron within the Périgord-Limousin Régional Naturel Parc, an exceptional part of the beautiful 'Perigord Vert' region of the Dordogne.

"Le Tilleul" offers two charming and beautifully presented self catering gîtes : Le Figuier (sleeps 8) and La Vigne (sleeps 4)

“La Vigne” is entered via double doors from the courtyard into a lobby area. This leads into a newly fitted kitchen with integral oven, split-level hob, fridge, microwave oven and dining table for 4 people.

The sitting room area has patio doors onto the terrace which overlooks the surrounding garden and woodland.

A door from the living area leads into a ground-floor twin bedroom with window onto the garden and en-suite bathroom with shower.

The first floor has a further double bedroom with king-size bed, again with en-suite facilities and shower.

Exposed beams and original features have been retained in the refurbishment of “La Vigne” to provide a rustic and cosy charm.

Please note that whilst bed linen is provided, we do not supply bath/pool towels, but these can be rented if required.

We ask that guests leave the property clean and tidy as they arrived, or an optional end of stay cleaning service is available at 40 euros.

“Great gite with sparkling pool and caring hosts in a country setting .”

Jill and Nathalie are very courteous and kind hosts. We took their advice as to the local markets and restaurants in the area. Our gite was very well equipped with more appliances than we could use. A very comfortable sitting/dining room but the weather in July was warm so we had all our meals on our outside patio. A very friendly atmosphere and as we were the only couple there during our week, it was quiet and peaceful. We loved the beautiful swimming pool area. We hope that we may make the trip from Cape Town to visit them again once day !

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
