Ley Cottage is situated in the heart of Cornwall, just above the beautiful Loveny Valley and close to many attractions - The Eden Project, the north and south coasts, National Trust properties and the majestic Bodmin Moor.

Set in a hamlet, Ley Cottage is a rural retreat, tranquil and relaxing with a cosy and homely feel. Beautifully decorated and with many period features, you won't want to leave!

Fresh, clean bed linen and towels are provided, all heating and electricity is free. WIFI is also free and there is a woodburner with a basket of logs, a washing machine, tumble dryer and plenty of crockery, cutlery and pots and pans.

Ley Cottage is a very clean and comfortable place to stay, family owned and run, everything is kept up to a high standard and we are always available in case of any problem that might arise.

Suitable for a couple or a small family, we welcome one dog (or 2 small) and there are wonderful walks on the doorstep. A king size bed, a small double bed and a travel cot are available so 4 adults (if the 4' bed is acceptable) or 2 adults, 2 youngsters (sharing) and an infant are easily accommodated.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a pet surcharge of £15 per dog (max 2 small). Please let me know about dog guests at the time of booking so that I can amend your quote. Thank you.

Sky TV and free WIFI mean that Ley Cottage is suitable for all.

Ley Cottage is an old cottage and is quirky. The staircase is quite steep but also quite short so perfectly manageable! . There are electric radiators provided and the Woodburner works the central heating.

The parking space is next to the cottage through a gate and there is additional parking on the lane outside the cottage.

“Wonderful stay...we loved it!!”

What a lovely cottage to stay, also a very comfortable one at that!! The decor is lovely and we enjoyed looking at the mixture of furniture. The weather was nice to eat out in the garden a number of times. It's in a great the middle of no where...peace and quite! Also a short walk from the Bodmin moor. Unfortunately we didn't see the Bodmin beast. The cottage is in a great location for visiting lots of places for great days out. We visited Plymouth, Newquay, Launceston, St. Austell. We also went to Indoor Active Clip 'n Climb which is an indoor climbing centre which the kids (aged 7 and 14) did I (aged a little over 40). We went for a bite to eat in Plymouth at Nando's and then a game of ten pin bowling located at the Barbican Leisure Park. While in Newquay we visited the Newquay Blue Reef aquarium. On our last day we had a ride on the Bodmin Steam Railway which is just down the road. It's closer to Get the steam train from Bodmin Parkway but we went to Bodmin General station as there is free parking. There is a place called Trago Mills at the bottom of the road from the cottage, which I can describe as a bit like a B&Q with a clothing, sports, toys, furniture, kitchen, art / stationary, beauty care, music instruments, plus more...shops rolled into one...I don't think there wasn't anything it didn't have. It's worth a look. There are various Tesco, Sainsbury's and Morrison's stores scattered in close by towns...Sainsbury's and Morrison's and Lidl's are in Bodmin which is about 7 miles. Morrison's has a petrol station and the cheapest in price compared to other petrol stations. Overall we loved this holiday we had at the cottage and would highly recommend it! It's clean, comfortable and in a great location for great days out.

We had a lovely week in a rural setting.You will find Ley cottage down a quiet country lane.The cottage itself is cosy and comfortable and is equipped with everything you would need.If however there is anything you need Trago Mills is a very short distance away.The location is perfect as you are ideally situated to explore a multitude of attractions throughout Cornwall. I hope to return one day.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay at Ley cottage - despite the weather! The cottage is cute and cosy and there were lots of little touches to make our stay even more enjoyable. We loved lighting the fire and candles in the evenings! The location is good for visiting lots of places although the immediate surrounding roads are very steep and windy!! We didn't find this a problem though and enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a fantastic week. The weather was kind to us! The cottage was an ideal base to explore Cornwall, the north and south coasts are a short drive away. Will be going again.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
