Location description from owner

The England region

The north and south coasts have different characteristics. The north coast is more exposed and therefore has a wilder nature. The aptly named High Cliff, between Boscastle and St Gennys, is the highest sheer-drop cliff in Cornwall at 223 metres (730 ft). However, there are also many extensive stretches of fine golden sand which form the stunning beaches.

There are two river estuaries on the north coast: Hayle Estuary and the estuary of the River Camel, which provides Padstow and Rock with a safe harbour. The south coast, dubbed the "riviera", is more sheltered and there are several broad estuaries offering safe anchorages, such as at Falmouth and Fowey. Beaches on the south coast usually consist of coarser sand and shingle, interspersed with rocky sections of wave-cut platform.

Inland areas
The interior of the county consists of infertile and exposed upland, with a series of granite intrusions, such as Bodmin Moor, which contains the highest land within Cornwall.

Cornwall is mostly known though, for its stunning beaches and rugged coastline, fabulous restaurants and the multi award winning Eden Project.

“great location”

Reviewed 13 Jul 2012

host very pleasant and extremely trusting to let someone unknown stay in their cottage. sat tv a bonus given the weather was not all that great to put it mildly.padstow was a little further than the 5 mins suggested but thats a minor complaint. council bin collection was a bit awry. a comfortable holiday was had by all. no directions given!

“Home from Home..perfect!!”

Reviewed 18 Sep 2011

Excellent house, beautiful decor, excellent kitchen/dining area, lovely garden, great location for seeing Cornwall. We have just come back from a wonderful week, we spent the week with our 14 month old daughter and dog, house suited us perfectly, very homely....lovely touch of cream tea and fresh flowers on arrival, owners could not be more friendly and helpful. Great collection of books in the house too :-) recommend this to anyone travelling with family and dogs!
