Description from owner
Trevose View is a detached, privately owned self-catering holiday home, situated in the holiday village at St Merryn, four miles from Padstow on the North Cornwall Coast and a five minute drive to the nearest beach, Porthcothan Bay. The lodge is nestled in the corner of a quiet cul-de-sac and enjoys open views of the headland and horizon at Trevose Head from the kitchen and dining room.
The lodge offers unlimited WiFi along with generous open-plan lounge / dining room and kitchen areas - ideal for holiday living. The lounge has a leather sofa and two easy chairs; TV/DVD with a large selection of family friendly films and a bookcase offering guests a selection of maps, books and information on the local area.
The kitchen is dual aspect and exceptionally well kitted out including a washing machine, full sized fridge, freezer, microwave and all the everyday kitchen equipment you would need (I don't do basic - 6 of everything!).
There are three bedrooms - the master with an en-suite, walk in wardrobe and TV/DVD, and two further rooms - another small double and one twin. I provide duvets and pillows but guests will need to bring their own bed linen and towels. Further down the hall is a family bathroom. Patio doors lead out to an enclosed and secure garden, with garden furniture and BBQ. There is a double driveway to the front of the property with parking for two cars.
Trevose View is furnished and fitted out as my own personal holiday home rather than a "holiday let" and everything is maintained to the highest possible standard. St Merryn Park has a restaurant and bar, well-equipped shop, hairdressers and outdoor children’s play area along with tennis courts for guests to enjoy.
The lodge is ideally situated to explore all that Cornwall offers - close by there are seven wonderful beaches, stunning coastal walks and for the more adventurous Harlyn Surf School. The picturesque harbour of Padstow is a short drive away and offers many eating experiences, cycle hire to the Camel Trail and much more. If you wish to explore more of what Cornwall has to offer, access back onto the A30 or A39 is quick and easy and makes days out to the south coast or further west completely possible.

“Lovely home from home”
This was our first holiday with our new baby and sick grandma and Sarah made everything easy for us. The house is lovely and has absolutely everything you can think of- including weaning spoons! We have family in Padstow so it was a perfect base for us to visit them and do tourist stuff too. Highly recommended!
Owner's reply: Dear Janine & Family I am so pleased that you enjoyed your first holiday with your new baby and found Trevose View a home from home experience. Hopefully I can welcome you all back in the future. Sarah x
“Excellent Holiday Home”
The lodge has everything you need and more. This was our second visit and it has been further improved with a gorgeous new ensuite bathroom. This is a perfect place to relax and unwind and is also within a short distance to the most beautiful beaches. St Merryn has lots to offer with good pubs and takaways plus convenience stores. In addition you are only a short drive to beautiful Padstow with so much to offer. Thanks to the owner Sarah for sharing her home and for the ease of booking.
Owner's reply: Dear Wendy Thank you for the lovely review, I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the 2018 improvements to the lodge. I strive very hard to make Trevose View Lodge a place in which guests can relax and unwind so to hear that you enjoyed your second visit makes all the hard work worthwhile. I look forward to welcoming you both back again in the future. Kind regards Sarah x
“Fantastic stay and amazing scenery!”
Really enjoyed our week stay in this lovely home from home. Very relaxing and quiet site with the home being absolutely spotless throughout and plenty of amenities. Even a BBQ to use! The location is amazing giving loads of choice of beaches and things to explore within the beautiful Cornish coastline. The decor really adds to the Cornish feel and gives a great feeling being right down by the coast. Nearby Padstow is definitely worth a visit! Really like the particular details with plenty of day trip information leaflets and even a great selection of DVD's for a quiet night in. All in all a fantastic week trip and will definitely recommend to friends and family alike and will be coming back! A stunning holiday home indeed! Kind regards. Kimberley.
Owner's reply: Thank you so much for the wonderful review. I am so pleased that you found your stay at Trevose View a home from home experience and were able to enjoy all the local beaches and of course Padstow. Hopefully I can welcome you back in the not to distant future. Sarah x
“Ideal location, a lovely home from home, a perfect break.”
The location is ideal to visit south west Cornwall. The Severn Bays beaches are close by and are absolutely stunning. Nearby Padstow, Rock and Wadebridge were nice to visit. The Eden Project is 45 minutes away and well worth a visit. Port Isaac and Tintagel Castle are within 35 minutes, the hike to get to the Castle is well worth the views, not for the faint hearted. They have just started filming Doc Martin (April - July 2017) the 8th Series in Port Isaac. The accommodation was spotless, with everything you could want or need, a real home from home. A place to feel very relaxed and at home. I really liked the induction hob, I have never used one before but, I was very impressed. I would highly recommend this property to anyone, even clean freaks, like me. We will visit again in the not to distant future. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Owner's reply: Dear Wendy & Family Thank you for the lovely review. I am so pleased you had a relaxing holiday and enjoyed your stay at Trevose View along with all that North Cornwall has to offer. Looking forward hopefully to welcoming to back in the future. Sarah x
“Wow, what a fabulous lodge in a wonderful location”
A real home from home, cosy and comfortable. Great location to explore the 7 bays. Sarah was great at keeping in touch with us.

“Awesome!! Best Cornish holiday rental we've ever stayed in!!”
The accommodation was perfect for our Easter break this year with a friend and our respective young children. Everything we could have ever possibly wanted and more had been provided, I couldn't think of a single thing we needed and couldn't find!. Extremely clean and freshly decorated this accommodation is an absolute gem. The owners have gone to great lengths to make this a great holiday rental for people of any age. We particularly love the area with all the bays and come back every year. We will definitely be booking this holiday home again too!
Owner's reply: Thank you so much Lorna for the lovely review. I'm so please that you enjoyed your stay at Trevose View. Looking forward to welcoming you back in the future. Kind Regards Sarah X
“Excellent holiday home!”
This was our first visit to Cornwall with our 4 year old and 4 month old baby. The location of the home is absolutely perfect, being a short drive from beautiful beaches, Padstow and the aquarium etc in Newquay. The bungalow is amazingly well equipped, there was absolutely everything there we could possibly need. It was also very spacious and exceptionally clean. It is in a quiet cul de sac and the garden is peaceful and sunny. There is a shop on site which is useful and a restaurant where unfortunately the food is very poor and the wine even poorer! Lots of leaflets and info was provided in the bungalow which was helpful, as was the wash/dryer. We were lucky enough to stay during the July heat wave and we felt like we were in the Med it was that hot and beautiful there. Thanks for a fabulous holiday!
“Home from home, a fantastic base in a lovely location”
Trevose view is a lovely, clean and light accomodation set in a quiet cul de sac on the St Merryn Holiday park. The lodge has a very homley feel and is really well kitted out with everything you need. The Londis shop on site is particularly helpful and we also enjoy using the tennis courts. Our kids are young (7+9) and they enjoyed having the freedom to cycle and scoot around the cul de sac which feels safe being set off the road. The area is just superb with amazing beaches, lovely costal path walks and Padstow only a short drive away. We enjoyed the Eden project which was a super day out for our age kids and only 30mins away. We will definatey be returning to Trevose view.
“Home from home”
A lovley relaxing place to stay. Everything you need is provided. It is clean and warm. There are so many lovely places to visit including amazing beaches and lovely views. It is central to lots of towns and villages. We have stayed a few times and will definitely stay again.
