“A hidden gem in a beautiful location”

Reviewed 30 Sep 2016

Just looking at booking for next year and I remembered I hadn't done a review -that says it all i'd definitely come again ! We had a fabulous few days here in May this year and were luckily blessed with superb weather. The house is located in the small village of St Mawgan in close proximity to a great country pub and a few quaint shops. The house is well furnished and has everything you would possibly need for a 'home from home' stay. We stayed with our children aged 10 and 5 and it felt extremely safe, had lots of things to keep them occupied and small sunny outside spaces at the front and back. We visited lots of places during our stay but always felt at home when we got back. The Catch at the beach and local pub are highly recommended for food and drink !

“Lovely house in pretty St Mawgan”

Reviewed 12 May 2014

We were fortunate to hear via friends of this lovely newly built house in the charming village of St Mawgan a great base for visiting Cornwall. The house is beautifully appointed and has some lovely views of this quiet location. The airport is close by but there is no noise as the house is not on the flight path. The lounge looks onto a small private garden complete with tables and chairs and BBQ.The weather was good but not yet BBQ weather, however, we shall return! It is a short walk downhill to the village Inn where they serve excellent food and are very welcoming, remember it is uphill home!. There is no footpath but it is a quiet country lane, take a torch at night. There is also a village shop/post office, a green and a lovely tea room. Just a short drive takes you to the very accessible beach at Mawgan Porth and the beautiful Watergate Bay (Jamie Olivers 15 is here) is only 2.5 miles, we enjoyed watching surfers here. Give it a go you won't be disappointed.

Owner's reply: Thanks for providing our first review! We are really happy you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you again soon (and hope you get some BBQ weather next time!). Thanks again, Phil & Frankie
