A cosy, fully equipped self-catering apartment in the heart of Jersey's countryside, perfect for a romantic escape or a family holiday. Hamptonne is steeped in rural history with over 45 acres to explore.
Located in the heart of Jersey's countryside, Hamptonne is a beautifully restored farm with a collection of thatched granite houses, stables and meadows. It is an idyllic, model farm offering a memorable setting for a relaxing family break or romantic getaway. The Stable Apartment is one of two well-appointed apartments which have been lovingly restored and can be rented together to accommodate up to 10 people.
Restored with low- hanging wooden beams in the open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area, the Stable Apartment provides a comfortable space for the whole family to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. There is one snug double bedroom and one bunk room with two single beds, both overlooking the north courtyard and thatched roofs.
Hamptonne operates as a visitor attraction and the public will be on-site during opening hours from May to September, but once the doors close guests have the property to themselves to roam freely, along with the small group of chickens. Also, during the summer months, the farm is home to young calves and piglets that always make friends with our guests.
There is ample adjacent parking to Hamptonne. Evening events may also be held at the site.

We stayed here for a week In July 2014. Self catering property in Jersey was not easy to find and I came across this place on the web. It is a Jersey Heritage Property which is an open farm museum - opening hours are about 10-5 each day and after that you have access to the property via a key which lets you into the main courtyard and into your apartment. The apartment had been beautifully converted and after the public had left we could sit in the courtyard and have a glass of wine - it really was peaceful and beautiful. A truly unique place to stay. For provisions, there was a reasonable sized M&S in St John's Village and a couple of other supermarkets in St Helier. Being Jersey everything is close, but you would need a car to get around. The car park is a little way up the road but you can stop outside to load and unload cases and shopping. All the staff were friendly and helpful. My son loved visiting the pigs, cows and hens every morning. The café sold ice creams and the usual stuff and the staff were lovely - my son had a breakfast ice cream every day (a tradition which has since stopped!) There were just 2 issues I would make people aware of (although I would not make these a reason not to stay). The main one is that there was a dishwasher but no washing machine. That absolutely needs changing. I rarely had enough to fill a dishwasher (there were only 4 of everything) but I would have done washing most days (especially sandy swimsuits and towels from the beach). One of the reasons we stay self catering is for the ability to be able to wash clothes - and therefore take less. The second was that we stayed on a very hot week - it is a farm and there were a LOT of flies. We bought fly papers from B&Q which did the job well but I think in the summer it should really be sorted - maybe with an industrial zapper (like you get in professional kitchens). Couple of other less important niggles - despite being advertised as having a dvd player it didn't - it would definitely had helped as the tv could only pick up the bbc channels. Secondly the cockerel (who my son called Lester) will wake you up at 3am everyday - if you have the windows open - but when you shut them you can't really hear him.
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Hamptonne Stable Apartment. We are really glad you and your family enjoyed your stay whilst in Jersey. Hamptonne is such a beautiful and tranquil site, right in the heart of Jersey, so it sounds like you made the most of your stay exploring the grounds and animals we have (including Lester the cockerel with his wake up calls). Thank you for your feedback with regards to the washing machine as this was considered at the time of construction. Unfortunately, there would be no area to hang washing in the outside areas due to the nature of the site, so it was felt a washing machine would not be appropriate for these apartments, however there is a launderette not far from Hamptonne which can be used if needs be. Secondly, as this is the first summer the apartments have been in use, we will be making provisions to help curtail the fly issue as much as possible. We hope you can come back to Jersey and maybe try another one of our fantastic sites on your next stay.
