Location description from owner

The England region

Cornwall in the far south west of England has more coastline than any other county and probably the best beaches coastal walks, rural and coast landscapes you will find. When you combine this with its archaeological and industrial heritage, its arts (The Newlyn School, Barbara Hepworth, Tate Gallery, Minack Theatre and more), and surfing beaches then you have the perfect holiday location.

St Just

Located in the hamlet of Bosavern, a 10 minute walk across the fields to St. Just with shops, pubs, galleries, and coffee shops.
The holiday cottage, known as Wesley’s Barn, is on the edge of the Cot Valley which leads down to the secluded cove of Porth Nanven, about a 20 minute walk. Sennen Cove noted for its magnificent beach and surfing is 10 minutes in the car or about an hour on the coastal path. Cape Cornwall, the only cape in England, is 30 min along the coast path in the other direction and has a golf course and leisure resort with indoor pool and gym.
Bosavern, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is an ideal centre for walkers, cyclists, birdwatching, climbers, golfers and water sports enthusiasts.

“A small but comfortable”

Reviewed 4 Sep 2016

The location of the barn was great for walks & generally getting around. St Just is a lovely 15 min walk across a couple of fields. The lower barn is small but comfortably cosy with all the facilities you'd expect. Having the conservatory was a big plus especially on dull days (although we were lucky with the weather). The owners were very warm & welcoming & I would thoroughly recommend Wesley Barn

“Best Self Catering Accommodation that I have stayed in”

Reviewed 27 Mar 2013

This was the best equipped self catering accommodation that we have stayed in. It was of a high standard, comfortable, clean and ideal for us as a family. The owners were friendly and great hosts. The area is beautiful and we can't wait to go and stay there again.

“Marvellous - all round!”

This is a lovely little cottage, everything is there that you need, and it is incredibly comfy and cosy! It is in a beautiful spot, surrounded by fields, with great walks at hand, its an easy walk into St Just and to the coastal paths! The owners are really friendly and helpful. This has been our third stay and I'm sure there will be more!!

“Cosy Comfort in Wesley's Lower Barn, St.Just, Cornwall”

Reviewed 25 Oct 2012

What a wonderful few days in Wesley's lower barn. Every consideration had been given to this holiday home which made it such a clean and comfortable home from home! Every need had been catered for - and we made short work of the complimentary 'Cornish Fairings' (- making sure we bought some to take home). My husband, our 12 year old son and myself thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Julia and Steve were most attentive hosts. We enjoyed our privacy as a family but very much appreciated them being on hand to answer such questions as where the best walking routes were to be found. (We were lucky enough to spot a Sparrow Hawk!) Such a beautiful, and surprisingly, tropical part of the world - I had to keep reminding myself I was still in Britain! Since we had a long travel down from central Scotland and were only visiting for a few days we didn't feel like doing too much driving whilst there. Well we couldn't have chosen a better location. Land's End was on the doorstep as well as the Minack Theatre - definitely NOT to be missed (especially the Peregrine Falcon!!!). We also made time for a trip to St.Ives (fortunately not too busy in October) where we enjoyed the local 'Cornish clotted cream vanilla ice-cream' - delicious! Great fun trying to find our way back through the lanes to our car! Being interested in history our son greatly enjoyed our visit to St.Michael's Mount. We were fortunate enough to walk across the causeway and return by boat. There was plenty to interest us - and the staff were most helpful. We made sure we tried a very tasty Cornish Pasty in the Sail Loft before we left! Likewise we enjoyed a hearty evening meal at the Kings Inn in Mousehole where we enjoyed the views over the harbour and found the locals to be most friendly. Indeed everywhere we visited we found the people very friendly and helpful - not least the Co-Op in St.Just!
