Location description from owner

The England region

Cornwall in the far south west of England has more coastline than any other county and probably the best beaches coastal walks, rural and coast landscapes you will find. When you combine this with its archaeological and industrial heritage, its arts (The Newlyn School, Barbara Hepworth, Tate Gallery, Minack Theatre and more), and surfing beaches then you have the perfect holiday location.

St Just

Located in the hamlet of Bosavern, a 10 minute walk across the fields to St. Just with shops, pubs, galleries, and coffee shops.
The holiday cottage, known as Wesley’s Barn, is on the edge of the Cot Valley which leads down to the secluded cove of Porth Nanven, about a 20 minute walk. Sennen Cove noted for its magnificent beach and surfing is 10 minutes in the car or about an hour on the coastal path. Cape Cornwall, the only cape in England, is 30 min along the coast path in the other direction and has a golf course and leisure resort with indoor pool and gym.
Bosavern, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is an ideal centre for walkers, cyclists, birdwatching, climbers, golfers and water sports enthusiasts.

“Relaxing comfort in a lovely property with excellent facilities”

Reviewed 10 Jan 2013

We booked both barns for a family get together over New Year. We received a warm welcome and immediately felt at home in the property. The design and furnishing of both properties has been well thought out and the thoughtful welcome "pack" of milk, tea bags, coffee etc meant there was no urgency to rush out to shops or bring copious supplies from home. It was refreshing to find spares of all bin bags and a supply of foil, cling film etc with the added bonus that towels were provided. My daughter and boyfriend used the upper barn and loved the views and the coffee machine. They enjoyed having their own space without having to go far or drive to join in the celebrations downstairs. We enjoyed having the best of both worlds too! The weather wasn't great but the garden leading off the lower barn would be great in summery weather while in winter the wood burner kept us cosy and warm. We know the area well and found the fact that the property was so near St Just a real plus as it is possible to buy all the fresh food you need from there. In fact who needs more than a few Mcfadden's pasties! Renting both barns worked really well and I really hope we can make a return visit soon! Thanks to Steve and Julia for making relaxing so easy!
