From the owner

La Guillemandiere is a group of three gites, with a large securely fenced pool and paddling pool. There is also a children's play area with swings and Boules and a large garden to run around in.

Le Cerisier has three bedrooms and caters for up to 6 guests, with one double bedroom, one twin room and a further bedroom with bunk beds. One of the bedrooms and the shower room is on the ground floor, so would be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Le Sapin has two bedrooms and sleeps up to five guests, with one double bedroom and a second bedroom with bunk beds and a single bed. There is one shower room on the first floor.

Le Petit Recoin has two bedrooms and slepps up to four guests, with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom.

All gites have a TV, DVD Player, Free secure WiFi internet access, UK satellite channels and a well equipped kitchen (oven, microwave, kettle & toaster, washing machine.)

There is a private barbecue and seating area for each gite and a large shared garden and swimming pool for all the guests.

There is off-road parking for all the gites.

Both Andrew & Myself were very disappointed to receive such a negative review for your stay in Le Sapin Gite. Our property is as stated rurally located, we are surrounded on three sides by fields, and the D43 (not a main road) passes the front of our property. The gites and garden are to the side, this is where the swings and slide are, and the swimming pool (which is fully enclosed by wall and with two security gates), and behind the property there is a large garden, washing line, orchard, in total 7,000 square metres. The kitchen was newly fitted last year and it now has much more work space than ever before, this is always fully cleaned at every changeover, as is the whole gite. I hold my hands up, yes you did encounter a problem with a smell, this was caused by the fact that my husband had repositioned the shower waste as it was found to be leaking just before your arrival. Unfortunately we had not realised that a smell was being given off, the moment that you told us Andrew endeavoured to solve the problem and placed a proper vent piece into the pipework, alleviating the smell immediately. All other visitors after yourselves were asked to let us know immediately if they had any problems with a smell, no-one did. With regards to the dog, I did advise you that we had a vast garden for the dog to run around in, which there is. Unfortunately there seemed to have been some lack of communication between us because at no time did you ask me if the garden was fully enclosed, but also I did not expect you to just open the gite door and let the dog out unattended. As you were fully aware, we had other guests as well (in the 2 other gites on site) that you should have considered. We rarely accept pets, especially during the summer months, but I had made an exception on this ocassion. We have never encountered problems with children playing at our property, and normally we say "the more noise coming from the children, the more they are enjoying themselves!", when the kids are happy the holiday is a good one. We were disapoointed that you chose to leave, but at no time did we ask you to. The second gite was fully ready for your friends arrival on the 2nd Saturday but they did not turn up, or look at it. How do damage deposits work?
