Location description from owner

The Cornwall region

The rugged coast line and stunning beaches. The temperate climate, a haven for wildlife and wild flowers, the many visitor attractions, quaint villages and interesting towns, National Trust Homes and Gardens, coastal walks, surfing and sea fishing. Plenty for most holidaymakers!

St Ives

St Ives is easy to reach by road, air and train. It has crystal blue waters, golden sands and a warm welcome. A mild climate, warmed year round by the Gulf Stream!

There is a working harbour. There are tiny cobbled streets to wander through, lined by fishermen's cottages, shops, restaurants and galleries.

Magnificent walks can be taken along the coastal footpath south towards Lelant with the opportunity to return by branch line train or west towards Zennor and Gurnards Head.

St Ives is renowned for its art and there are workshops, studios and galleries everywhere.

Tate St. Ives, part of the Tate Gallery in London, is a stunning building with a varying exhibition of local and national works. The Gallery stands high above the magnificent surfing beach of Porthmeor. Allied to Tate St Ives is the Barbara Hepworth Museum.

There are many cafes and restaurants catering for all budgets and tastes.

Enjoy the view across to Godrevy Lighthouse or take a short boat trip to watch seals basking on the rocks in the sunshine.

St Ives has plenty for young and old, summer or winter.

“Lovely house in a great location”

Reviewed 12 Apr 2016

We stayed in 11 Fish Street for the first week of the Easter Holidays 2016. Communication was excellent. The house is well equipped and perfectly located. We really enjoyed our stay despite the weather!

Thank you very much for your great review, we are very pleased you enjoyed yourselves and look forward to welcoming you back in the future to St. Ives.

“Lovely cottage in the heart of St Ives”

Reviewed 29 Jun 2015

Lovely cottage, spotlessly clean and well kept - great furniture and fittings. Perfect location only metres from the harbour front and minutes from all the shops and other beaches. Would happily stay again. Big positive was the hot outdoor shower for after surfing, small negative was the beds were a little firm for my old bones! Thanks for a fab stay.

Thank you very much for your great review of the house and we are glad you found it spotlessly clean on arrival, we will let our cleaning company know. We are glad you enjoyed the central location and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

“Perfect Location in a beautiful town”

Perfect location to enjoy all St Ives has to offer everything is in very easy walking distance of beaches, shops restaurants and pubs which was perfect for some of our party who have reduced mobility. The owners of the property have thought of everything you need for a pleasant holiday can thoroughly recommend this property.

“Perfect”

Reviewed 14 Apr 2015

Location excellent, accommodation excellent. Large and spacious house, very well furnished. Very helpful to have a car parking space, especially during busier periods. We found Sue to be incredibly helpful and efficient to book through. Basically you couldn't expect more.

Thank you very much for your lovely review and I look forward to welcoming you back to one of our properties in the future.

“Well-appointed, spotless and spot-on location in St Ives”

Reviewed 3 Apr 2015

No 11 Fish Street is a chic,well-maintained, character-filled house in the Downalong area of St Ives. We appreciated the comfy sitting room and well-equipped kitchen as a party of 7. The outside (hot!) shower and courtyard area were essential for those of us mad enough to go in the sea in March. The parking space is a real bonus in the town. Location-wise it is ideal, being mid-way between Porthmeor Beach (possibly the best beach in the world), the harbour and small-but-perfectly-formed Porthgwidden beach from where we watched gannets dive bomb the sea. Norway Stores is 30 yards away and the nearest restaurant is even closer. We would highly recommend the house and of course, St Ives and the surrounding area. Thank you!

Thank you very much for your lovely review, look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

“Great house, fantastic location, excellent facilities”

Reviewed 5 Jan 2015

We have just returned from this property where we stayed as two families together. The house was excellently placed for the beaches and restaurants of St Ives, and when we felt like staying in the house provided everything we needed to make it a stress free holiday. We will (hopefully) return, and to be honest I can't wait. ( and my son says he loved the bedrooms)

Thank you for your kind review, we often have 2 families stay with us and are glad it worked well for you. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

“Great stay all round”

Reviewed 16 Dec 2014

Stayed at No.11 Fish Street for a long weekend break away with my family. The house was lovely, very modern, well equipped, very clean and very nicely done out. Great place to stay with family, great location only a 2 minute walk to the harbour, shops and restaurants. My family and I are already planning on booking again here for next year. Was lovely all round.

Thank you very much for your lovely review and we look forward to welcoming you back.

“Luxurious stay in the centre of lovely St Ives”

Reviewed 4 Nov 2014

Stayed at 11 Fish Street with my wife, two children and one of their girlfriends. Very comfortable, well-furnished and spacious house with all the mod cons, just a stone's throw from the harbour and main street. Had thought the parking - which is away from the house - may be a bit of a hassle, but it's just a short walk through some charming old alleys, so no problem at all. St Ives is lovely, with some great restaurants - our favourite was the Seafood Cafe, but everywhere we ate was excellent. Highly recommended.

Thank you very much for your review, we appreciate your comments and am glad you did not find the parking any hassle. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

“perfectly situated house”

Thank you very much for your great review of No 11 Fish Street, we are glad you found the beds comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

“Fantastic - the best holiday house we've stayed in!”

Reviewed 21 Jul 2014

We all loved Fish Street, a great house and the best equipped we have stayed in. Everything you should need is there and it was spotlessly clean. We were even welcomed with some delicious scones, jam and clotted cream! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fish St, just please don't book our week! Ha-Ha

Thank you very much for your review, we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
