Location description from manager

The England region

St Ives has everything covered… 5 beautiful beaches, an amazing array of restaurants, cafes, bars & shops & of course art.

Porthminster is the closest beach, just moments away, with its crystal clear waters, golden sands & award winning restaurants (or fish & chips if it is one of those days).

Meander down the cobbled warren of streets to the harbour with the waves lapping in the background & find somewhere to sit with a delicious Cornish ice cream, watching the world of St Ives go by.

St Ives

St Ives is a place that captures many peoples' hearts and for many different reasons.

Famous for its unique light which has to be seen to be believed it has always been a place to attract artists. The Tate, located above Porthmeor beach has constantly changing exhibitions.

Barbara Hepworth, one of Britain's most important artists found herself making St Ives her home & her sculpture garden is a tranquil haven and well worth a visit.

There are five beaches of St Ives and each has a very different feel and all only within a short distance of each other. The best place to surf is Porthmeor (& the best place to watch the sunset too), Porthminster has the whitest sand and is always sheltered, Harbour Beach is buzzing with daily boating acti

“Beautifully presented house with fabulous views & great location”

Reviewed 7 Dec 2016

Beautifully presented large house with amazing views over St Ives and out to sea - central to St Ives, but away from the hustle and bustle. The photos of the house were good but when we entered the property we realised just how wonderful it was. Jane, the owner, was very welcoming and ensured us that she was available if we had any questions or problems. We loved the fact that St Ives was so central to so many attractions in Cornwall. St Agnes Head with Wheal Coates was magical. The Lizard was picturesque. St Michael’s Mount a must see. But best of all the beautiful town of St Ives was at our feet. On many nights, when we arrived home after a busy day we had to pop out for one more walk around the harbour.. And then when we finally did finish up for the day, Coast House provided us with luxurious accommodation that met our every need. We have to give a special mention to The Lifeboat Inn in St Ives. We nominated it to be our local and ate a few meals and drank quite a few pints of cider there. The staff were very friendly, the food was excellent (especially the Sunday roast) and the view out onto the harbour was wonderful.
