Description

Kittiwake is a much loved charming property, fully refurbished for 2014, reflecting the character of a cornish cottage, with antique and original finds from flea markets mixed with comfortable modern furniture, close to the centre of St Ives. It has stunning views over the harbour especially the top floor. Each floor has the iconic panoramic views over St Ives bay, the harbour and the island. The cottage is perfect for couples, families and groups as it comfortably sleeps 6 and is fully equipped as a holiday home.

We have a kiddie pack too which we can have available for your stay: travelcot, high chair, night lights, toddler toilet seat and a toddler step and nonslip bath mat.

You enter the property through the gate and the path leads up to the front door. There is a bench to enjoy morning coffee in the sunshine and a hot water outdoor shower to wash off the sand and salt after coming off the beach with hooks to hang the wetsuits! Through the stable door is the hallway

The England region

Cornwall has some of the best holiday destinations in the Uk at anytime of the year and St Ives is the jewel in the crown. Voted the UKs best seaside resort year after year.

Cornwall enjoys England's mildest climate. Spring arrives early & Summer lingers. With so much to see & do It is super place to enjoy a holiday regardless of the time of year.

As well as Cornwall being England's surfing capital, there is loads to explore in this beautiful region by car or bike and there are plenty of walks to be enjoyed too. The Eden Project in St Austell is a great day out and is a must see.

St Ives

St Ives allure is that it has literally something for everyone. If you want golden sandy beaches - there is not one, but four of the most beautiful beaches in the UK. Porthmeor for surfing and sunbathing, the harbour for boats and busy, Porthminster - safe family and golden and Porthgwidden - a little secret treasure of a beach .If you're an art lover there are over 40 galleries to see, including the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum.

For food spolit for choice, whether it's Vegetarian, Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, Pizzas and Pasta or the most popular choice has to be the Mediterranean style of cuisine providing the freshest of local seafood. Make sure you have breakfast at the Portminster Beach Cafe run by Nathan Outlaw - simply stunning.

“Lovely place!”

Reviewed 13 Nov 2016

This is a truely lovely cottage. Just like the pictures. We had a wonderful week in St. Ives. Our 11- and 14-year old adored the attic room. We want one ourselves! The view from up there is gorgeous, and they spent hours sitting by the window with the seagulls just outside on the roof. Everything is within easy reach: supermarket, town centre, beach, pubs and restaurants. We had a relatively cold week, for July, but it was nice when the sun came out. We missed somewhere to have coffee outside. The house is nestled in next to a cliff wall, so there's not much sun reaching down to the ground floor, which makes it rather cold and dark downstairs. But that is just details! It's a lovely place, much recommended.

“Sehr schön eingerichtetes Cottage an guter Lage”

Reviewed 13 May 2015

“A charming cottage full of character with stunning seaviews”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2014

We stayed at Kittiwake Cottage in St Ives earlier this month with our family and had a superb time. The cottage itself is less than 5 minutes stroll from both the town and the main beach, has a lovely feel to it and huge views from the Lookout Bedroom across the harbour and the sea. We all enjoyed a relaxed break in charming surroundings, the place has been done to a great standard and it gave us a splendid base for our stay - we'll definitely be using it again in the future.
