A TWO BEDROOM / TWO BATHROOM APARTMENT SLEEPS 4 ADULTS WITH STUNNING PANORAMIC SEA VIEWS.

A beautiful, stylish, light and airy 2 bedroom Victorian Terrace apartment affording the most stunning, panoramic sea views over the harbour, the Island and out towards Godrevy as well as being just a short, five minute walk to the town, beaches and shops and two minutes from the large long stay car park (if on road parking is not available). The property enjoys a large bay window with window seat and outside balcony from which to take in the ever changing vista.

The property is absolutely ideal for two couples, who enjoy each other's company but also like having their own space, in that the second twin bedded room is a separate annexe with it's own shower room and WC and flat screen TV with wifi access. It also has it's own door separate from the main flat. The shared open plan lounge has a dining table situated in the bay window which comfortably seats 4 and has a built in wooden window seat to enjoy the scenery whilst eating. There is also a small balcony to the front from which to take in the views. The lounge is open plan with a well stocked, fully fitted kitchen, including oven, hob, fridge and microwave.

Facilities include wi-fi, iPod docking station, washing machine, flat screen tv with Freeview and a varied selection of DVDs and books. The property is double glazed and adequately heated all year round by electric heaters which warm up the apartment very quickly.

A door from the lounge leads to the master bedroom with en-suite shower room and wc. The second bedroom/private studio annexe has twin beds and benefits from its own separate entrance from the main staircase with its own bathroom and showe., This would therefore ideally suit two adults or older children who like their own space. This room also has a television with built in DVD player, Freeview and game console connection sockets and wifi access. There is a very small decked area just outside the window (which can open like a door) in which to sit out. ******PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE LAYOUT OF THE PROPERTY, THE TWIN ROOM IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 13, HOWEVER, WE ARE HAVING THE PROPERTY RECONFIGURED BY FEBRUARY 2017 TO ENABLE CHILDREN OF ALL AGES TO STAY***

We provide beautiful, crisp white cotton bedlinen, tea towels and a set of towels per guest as standard. FOR 2016 BOOKINGS WE OFFER £25 DISCOUNT FOR GUESTS WHO BRING THEIR OWN LINEN (Bedsheets, pillowcases, duvet covers, towels, tea-towels). Please bring your own beach towels.

Depending on the time of year, you can park just outside the property on Park Avenue but if not, there is a large long/short stay car park just 2minutes away on Park Avenue. An easy 5minute walk along Park Avenue and down the first set of steps (or slope further along) takes you into the centre of St Ives with its world class restaurants, four spectacular beaches galleries, shops and pubs. St Ives is famous for its artist colony, which thrives on the quality of the light, and the town is packed with galleries and studios where it is easy to buy great art whatever your budget. St Ives is a wonderful place to stay year round - whether that be in the bustling summer season or the tranquil winters where you have the town and beaches to yourselves. Please do get in touch if you require any further information. We very much look forward to welcoming you to Stargazey. Carrie & Amanda

Location description from owner

The England region

Voted one of the 10 best European beach destinations compiled by TripAdvisor, St Ives is blessed with four safe and sandy beaches, world class restaurants, a mild year round climate, and quaint cobbled streets with great pubs and shops.
There is a reason why St Ives hosts one of only four Tate galleries: the incredible light which the artists chased.
The famous piercing, luminous light (said to be caused by the crystal clear water and sandy beaches) has drawn artists to St Ives for over a century. From Turner, Whistler, Wallis, Nicholson and Heron to Lucy Bray and Linda Weir. The St Ives artist colony is world renowned and still thrives today - it is not unusual to turn a corner and bump into an artists easel. It is not just painters who were drawn to St Ives - Barbara Hepworth lived, worked and died here. Her residence and studio is now the Barbara Hepworth museum and the tranquil the garden is full of her works. Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada arrived in the 1920s. Their work and legacy can still be admired at the Leach Pottery on the Stennack and in notable galleries. All four of St Ives main beaches are safe for swimming. The harbour beach and Porthgwidden are favourites for those with small children. Porthmeor catches the westerly wind and makes for great year round surfing. Porthminster is perfect for swimming and basking in the sun.
Whichever you choose beware of the seagulls - they are master thieves so hold your ice cream close!
The multitude of fantastic restaurants in St Ives guarantees good dining, from budget to a special occasion. We would recommend the following: breakfast/lunch - Cornish Deli (Chapel St), burgers - Blas (by the St Ives Arts Club), Indian - Curry Garden (Tregenna Hill), fish & chips - Balancing Eel (behind the Sloop), lunch - The Tea Room (the Wharf) for fresh crab sandwiches, gluten free options, and amazing cups of tea. For pasties the locals will only buy from Ferrells (Fore St) or Philps of you are passing through Hayle. For something more special then it has to be the Porthmeor Beach Cafe. Book a table for a sunset view. Other great restaurants are Alba, Black Rock, Alfresco, Spinacio, Halsetown Inn. You would find it difficult to have a bad meal in St Ives wherever you choose.

Walk off the cream teas by exploring the coast paths - west takes you on a wild walk to Zennor where you can refresh yourself with a pint of cider at the Tinners Arms before catching the bus back. East is a beautiful walk via Carbis Bay and Porthkidney Sands - either catch the train back from Lelant or carry on to Hayle and grab a fabulous pastie at Philps.

“Lovely apartment with simply stunning views of St Ives”

Reviewed 27 Mar 2016

We had such a wonderful stay. The apartment is lovely and the views out across St Ives are amazing. There is a balcony which would really come into it's own in the summer, and you are just a short walk from the town centre. Fantastic.

“Great little place in a great location!”

Reviewed 14 Sep 2015

The flat is well kitted out and beautifully decorated. The view is stunning - the photograph does not lie. We would totally recommend Stargazey to family and friends.

“Lovely view of the harbour, and a real holiday feel to the apartment.”

Reviewed 1 Jul 2015

The apartment is in an elevated position, hence the great view of the harbour. The apartment was very clean and tidy with a real holiday/seaside feel which was lovely.

“Homely apartment, great views, ideal for 2 couples”

Reviewed 14 Jun 2014

We all really enjoyed our one week stay at Stargazey. Worked really well for two couples, the two bedrooms with separate entrances & two bathrooms provided privacy, while the large lounge was perfect for a relaxed evening having dinner together enjoying the great views of St Ives. Ideal having a car park at the end of the street, so that the car could be easily accessed for exploring the wider Cornwall area, but then parked nearby when walking into St Ives itself. The apartment felt very homely, with a nice selection of books, DVDs and board games along with all kitchen amenities - fresh milk and scones even supplied as a welcoming gift!

“Amazing apartment with stunning views”

Reviewed 22 Apr 2014

We have loved our stay at Stargazey. It was like a home from home, very thoughtfully decorated, clean and comfortable, bright and airy with stunning views over St Ives town and Quay. Lots of DVD's for quiet nights in and plenty of information about the area. The owners really have thought of everything you could need in a holiday home.

“Great views, great location”

Reviewed 14 Apr 2014

The flag was spotlessly clean. We found the living room to be quite comfortable and the kitchen area really well stocked, however the bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom / shower really small.

We are sorry you found the bed uncomfortable. From the many reviews left in our guest book, we have only had complimentary comments regarding the comfort of the bed. I guess this is a subjective matter based on personal preferences. Thanks once again for taking the time to review our property.
