“Fabulous - home from home”

Reviewed 9 Apr 2017

Beechwood cottages are three properties all linked and comfortably sleeps 12. The photographs do not do justice to this lovely property. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything that we needed. Plenty of hot water even though there was 10 of us all having showers at the same time in the morning. Although this is split into three separate properties the main house comfortably accommodated all of us for meals and socialising, plenty of outdoor space and perfect if you are having a family holiday. The garden is well established and thought out with a small pond and benches. Hedges provide shade and privacy, in the good weather areas perfect for catching the sunshine. Beds were very comfy, fantastic power shower. bedrooms were generous size and plenty of storage. June and Richard the owners are very accommodating, welcoming and friendly with lots of good local advice. They are nearby but were so unobtrusive unless you need them you wont know they are there. They are very helpful, even taking the time to give our little dog a walk on the day we were all out. The heating is very good and the cottages were lovely and warm, perfect for a winter getaway also. I cannot find any negatives, on our arrival there was tea coffee and fresh milk. Location is good there is a lovely park opposite with a children's play park including a little zip wire which even my teenagers though was great. This property is an original period property and full of character if ever I need somewhere to stay in the area I would book this again.

Owner's reply: Thank you for that fabulous review,it has brought me to tears. It was a pleasure looking after you lovely little dog whilst you were out,he was so sweet, and the great comments you have said about the accommodations, its nice to know that i had made it as comfortable and clean and welcoming as possible for you all.It was a pleasure having you here and you taking advantage of the garden and the surrounding area, which has a lot to offer, make it all the more rewarding. It would be great to welcome you all again.Kind Regards, June and Richard.
