Located in a conservation area in the award winning floral village of St Florence, Ty Garan is a bright and airy detached property. The house occupies an elevated position and enjoys uninterrupted views over the river Ritec and the surrounding countryside.

The property has an attractive south facing garden and is just 5km inland of the picturesque town of Tenby and even closer to Pembrokeshire's magnificent coastline.

Ty Garan has been awarded a coveted Visit Wales 5 star grading and is the perfect place in which to relax and unwind with family and friends.

We had a fantastic time staying at Ty Garan. Excellent location, Tenby, Manorbier, Pembroke all very close! Plenty to do for young and older alike. House is very comfortable and has all amenities you would need. Can't wait to visit again.

This was our second stay in Ty Garan and as our first stay was perfect we were anxious that our stay this time would be as magical for us. Ty Garan's warm and welcoming atmosphere just wraps itself around you, the people of St.Florence, again welcomed us all into their community. A very tranquil place to stay.

From the start of booking our holiday everything was made so easy. Exploring this beautiful house was magical!.The space and all the equipment provided were clean and immaculate. This house is in a very friendly, community, village. A great place to relax and enjoy being part of it, if only for a short while. We would recommend it to anyone, once you've experienced it, you'll want to go back again and again.

We had a lovely week at Ty Garan and although we are not Welsh speakers, the owners had left several clues about the name of the house, so we soon gathered it meant Heron House. Very, very, very well equipped and the games room was a welcome addition for the adults (some of whom pretended to be playing Foosball for the sake of the kids!!! Conservatory is very large and bright, so plenty of light and warmth in the kitchen every morning. Tableware of good quality and plenty of it, so no need to worry about the dish washer between meals. Only possible problem might be the outside steps for older people, but my 77 year old mother managed them well enough. I've stayed in many a holiday home over the years and this one was the best yet. So much space that you can row with your teenagers every morning and then ignore each other all day - heaven!!! Granny became a jigsaw fan and battled with Britain throughout the week. All in all, everyone had a really good time and we'd go back in a heartbeat.

This beautiful family home provides everything one could need for a fabulous holiday. Our group of 2 grandparents, 3 grandson 9, 7 and 7 months and their respective parents, enjoyed an exceptionally relaxing week in top class accommodation. With so much space, everyone was able to relax in comfort. The games room is a fantastic area for all ages, amazingly well equipped, as is the rest of the house. The tranquility of the surroundings was a huge bonus. The local pub, The Parsonage with real ale and very good food is a 5 minute walk away. The staff were most welcoming. There is a good sized beer garden and a great children's room. Tenby is just a short drive away and there are several attractions on the main road just outside St Florence. A perfect hideaway!!

My family stayed at Ty Garan for a week. The Welsh weather was unpredicatble and as such a good base was a neccessity. Ty Garan was great, with plenty of games and books to entertain us all. The property has lots of space, there were 7 of us and we had plenty of room. It is very well maintained and has good quality fittings and furnishings. It was also very clean. The village is small but has a really handy local shop and a couple of pubs and Tenby is just down the road. There is also several different childrens things to do within a mile of the property including a zoo owned by Anna Ryder-Richardson (of Changing Rooms fame!). I would definately come back again.

My first visit to stay at Ty Garan (Heron House) was in May 2003, and since that first step through the doorway, and my subsequent visits (which now total approximately 3-4 months worth of staying on weekly breaks and mini-breaks), it feels like home from home. We've seen the property through it's renovation and extention, during which the warmth of Ty Garan being a family home, as well as a holiday property rental, has never been lost. It's a wonderfully equipped house and perfect for larger gatherings to celebrate any occasion - I've stayed there with family and friends, all of whom have fallen in love with Ty Garan the moment they have stepped through the door too. Blair and Julie are incredibly generous and trusting with their home - thank you - can't wait for our next weekly jaunt down to St Florence at TG in September this year.

We had high expectations of Ty Garan, the pictures we had seen and childhood memories of the area were surely setting us up for a disappointment…but we couldn’t have asked for better. Tastefully decorated, homely and comfortable with a hint of luxury and ideally situated all of our needs were met in this spacious holiday home. Clean and well maintained, I would dare anyone to find a fault in the haven Blair and Julie have created with great care. From the well kitted out kitchen to the tourist information leaflets to the comfortable beds and sunny terrace everything was perfect. Thank you Julie and Blair – you made a great holiday awesome. We will definitely be back next year!

This, our third visit, was the first with full family, rather than friends, for a whole week, and it proved equal in every respect. With its many sitting areas, it's easy to find a quiet moment to oneself, and the children would stay all day in the Games room, if allowed. Its location is perfect for access to both countryside and coast, and with Tenby and Narberth close to hand, caters for all tastes.

Ty Garan has to be one of the best rental properties available in Wales. We have stayed there many times and return at least once a year whenever we can. A real home from home with all the comforts anyone could wish for. We're always sad to leave and glad to be back!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Blair & Julie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
