St Endreol combines the benefit of a golf resort vacation yet with privacy and the sophistication of the French Riviera within easy reach. For those wishing more peaceful pursuits there is beautiful scenery, vineyards and quintessential Provencal hill top villages all around the area. Many local restaurants serve traditional food and wine at highly competitive prices. Ten minutes drive away is the superb Michelin star restaurant La Gorge de Pennafort. For keen golfers other courses in the area include the Four Seasons resort at Terre Blanche (30 minutes drive), St Maxime and Gassin. In summer excellent beach restaurants are to be found along the sandy coast from Les Issambres to St Maxime. World class shopping is available at St Tropez, Nice or Cannes - a 40 mins drive or train from Les Arcs station - 8 kms.

The interior of the property is in minimalist, traditional Provencal style with tiled floors on both levels. The living area and bedrooms benefit from maximum sunlight, but the shutters and air-conditioning ensure the house is cool in summer. The kitchen is fully equipped with black granite worktops and a combined gas / electric cooker. Large fridge freezer. The washer dryer is located in a separate utility room. The main bedroom has an especially spacious en suite bathroom and the entire upper level benefits from vaulted high ceilings (up to 7 metres high) with oak beams. In the living area is a 32 inch flat screen TV (satellite reception) plus DVD player. One of the two sofas converts to a bed. There is an open fire place and logs are available for purchase in the winter months. Full central heating.

The secluded and tranquil south facing garden is a delight with Agapanthus, Lavender and other Mediterranean plants. There is natural shade supplemented by a large umbrella. The garden furniture comprises of a table, six chairs, two loungers and two deckchairs. In addition to the total calm of the house and garden, visitors enjoy walks on the estate with stunning views across the golf course with Var mountain scenery to the north and Roquebrune and the coast to the south. The large shared swimming pool and tiled sun area is about 100 metres from the house and is fully equipped with loungers and umbrellas (April / October) free of charge. The superb Spa with its main pool, plus Hydrotherapy Pool, Jacuzzi, Steam Room and Sauna is located a few minutes walk from the house. Treatments such as massage and facials are available at extra cost. Garage 10mts from the house, ideal for storing golf clubs / bicycles etc.

The Provence region

The sandy beaches of Les Issambres / St Maxime are within 30 mins drive, with frequent ferry service across the bay to St Tropez . Restaurants, cafes etc abound along the coast. The idyllic Provencal villages of La Motte, Callas, Bargemon with their cafes and restaurants are nearby as are the larger shopping towns of Le Muy and Draguignan. St Endreol is surrounded by vineyards producing top class wines, notably Chteau d'Esclans. Excursions are easily undertaken to Cannes, Nice and Monaco with the train a good option from Les Arcs TGV (8 kms). The Grand Canyon du Verdon (40kms) - a spectacular national park makes an ideal day excursion. The French national water ski centre is located nearby at Roquebrune and the area is popular with cyclists and hikers. Isola 2000 / Auron ski resorts approx 2 hrs drive.

La Motte

Golf at St Endreol is best enjoyed in spring and autumn. The 18 hole course is set amidst undulating countryside with several water features including the signature 13th hole played over the river Endre. There is a driving range plus practise area / putting green. Electric buggies are available. The club house serves excellent food and the terrace enjoys tremendous views of the Var Mountains. A feature of the resort is its landscaping and abundance of Mediterranean flora and fauna. The Spa with its indoor pool, separate hydrotherapy pool, sauna and steam room is a delight at any time of the year. Full treatment packages are available. The local town of Le Muy has a local market on a Tuesday and Sunday and a taste of traditional French life can be enjoyed in nearby La Motte, which has an excellent patisserie and charcuterie.
