Description from owner

This clean and modern beach-front apartment offers spectacular views over the Mediterranean and of the Pyrenees from every window. Located on a white sandy beach which stretches as far as the eye can see in both directions, the property also includes exclusive use of a private and secure open air swimming pool.

The apartment has a comfortable living area with an open-plan kitchen, a spacious double bedroom, bunk beds in the hall, bathroom with shower/bathtub and a separate WC.

In addition, a south facing balcony with table and chairs offers a splendid Mediterranean experience looking out over the sea to the south and the setting sun over the Pyrenees in the west.

The Languedoc-Roussillon region

The Languedoc-Roussillon region, although still regarded as one of the un-discovered gems of Europe, has become a popular and unspoiled destination for tourists in recent times. Bordered by the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees Mountains, it enjoys over 320 days of sunshine per year and still retains a wildness that is spectacular. The region is also famous for its wines and many vineyards offer tours and wine tasting to visitors. It is rich in history and thus offers the visitor a wide variety of places of interest to visit as day trip opportunities, and in the winter the Ski slopes are only 1½ hours away by car.

St Cyprien Plage

The apartment is located directly on the beach at "Residence Les Frégates" in the south of St Cyprien Plage in the middle of endless kilometers of white sandy beaches and beautiful coastline. Beach lifeguards are on duty in the summer season. Access is through electronic gates and a designated parking space is provided. The Mediterranean's 2nd largest port, St Cyprien Port, is 1.5 km away with a great selection of restaurants, bars and a wide variety of local entertainment offered every night during the summer season as well as shops, butchers, bakers, casino, cinema, discotheque, banks, chemist and doctors. Nearby you will find amusement parks, go-carting, mini golf, horse-riding just to name a few. Aqualand – a family-orientated water park – is situated within walking distance.

St Cyprien international golf course with 27 holes is only 3 km away. There is a small Supermarket and a Snack Bar in the building and shopping centres close by.

Free WiFi at the Snack bar on site. Fishing and deep sea fishing trips are available at the harbour.

The Spanish border is 30 km away. The medieval city of Carcasonne is 1 h 45 minutes away, The beautiful and historic port of Collioure is 20 minutes away, The pre-historic Tautavel village is 1 hour away, The Salvador Dali Museum in Figueras is 1 hour away, Andorra is 2 hours away.

Very Good

“Amazing apartment with exceptional views”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2012

The apartment was exceptional. The views were breathtaking and the area is wonderful. The cleanest and most well equipped apartment we have stayed in in the whole of the South of France... It was so homely. The owners, Inga and Paul were friendly and very helpful and on arrival there were special little touches like fresh flowers and a welcome bottle of wine. We would certainly return in he future.

“perfect for family holidays with young children”

Friendly owners, always available, well equipped and functional apartment, ideal for beach hopping, car recommend. Very recommendable. Thank you, Inga and Paul!

“Ideal bolt hole for exploring and relaxing”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2012

4 of us all loved this compact but well equipped apartment on the beach with beautiful views of both sea and mountains.. We were lucky to have wall to wall sunshine and could choose between the beach or well maintained swimming pool for relaxation. Only regret no full sunloungers supplied by host or the flat management company. Flats surrounded by attractive little gardens and foliage and very peaceful whilst we were there. Small Balcony was used constantly and proved more than adequate for the 4 of us adults, very enjoyable , both sunshine and shade most of day so all happy. The little shop on sight is excellent and supplies virtually everything one might need, so no need to go supermarket hunting. Highlight for us was the short walk to beach restaurant Al Trayor where food, service and ambiance all superb, so good we went 4 evenings. Also recommend small cafe type restaurant, at Latour Bas Elne, La Paella. They do takeaways too, but either preorder or wait 40 minutes whilst they cook, worth the wait. Lovely days exploring Collioure which is a must to visit and the Pyrenees Oriental, not so bothered about Perpignan. Already looking forward to another visit, raining here for last 3 months and St Cyp less than 2 hours away by plane. Good communication before and whilst there with owner Inga.

“Great near beach for swimming and sunbathing.”

Reviewed 11 Sep 2011

Flat was fine for the two of us it had every thing we needed. We enjoyed our holiday in Saint Cyprien, but I guess you need transport to get around since you don't see any taxes, many buses, and no trains. Everyone was very helpfull & friendly, the owners let us use their bikes and that was very usefull.

“best area of france so far”

Reviewed 3 Sep 2011

The apartment is clean well equipped and just a stones throw from a lovely clean beach. It was lovely to open the blind every day and enjoy the sun and the great view of sea, sand and mountains, it was also very quiet and all residents respected each other and the request not to be rowdy late evening which was great. I would recommend this apartment for a great beach and relaxing holiday with some great days out if required and fab restaurants with good food in the area. There is also a shop onsite that bakes fresh bread all day which is a boon to have warm coissant and baguette every day. Inga met us at the apartment showed us the facilities and left us to get on with our holiday unlike some places where we have been and she was always on hand if we needed anything thank you Inga and Paul.

“Blissfull Mediterranen view from a lovely bright apartment”

Reviewed 22 May 2011

One could rate this apartment as excellent for the view alone, but it does much more than that. Bright, with a blue nautical theme, it is simply lovely. I stayed there with my husband and young son, and we had an amazing trip. It was very family friendly and the service was top-notch! We look forward to coming back again.
