In the historic centre of St Andrews, Cowper’s Close is an ideal holiday house for golfers and families alike, within a short walk of the Old Course and the beach. A landmark building on South Street dating from the 18th century, this spacious house has four bedrooms and two bathrooms and has been furnished to a very high standard including a dining room, a fully-equipped kitchen with an Aga and two sitting rooms. There is also a conservatory, a large, fully enclosed garden and the property has its own garage close by. Cowper’s Close is the birthplace of the Foulis family, who trained with Tom Morris and invented the mashie-niblick golf club and the flag holder design. James Foulis Jr also won the second US Golf Open in 1896. Wifi and woodburning stove. One bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor which means that this is a good house for people with mobility issues.
